"He can fart to fly around too." Down+B causes the explosion. Up+B causes a more controlled explosion that lets him fly like a rocket. Down+B moves never allow Flight, and it wasn't mentioned in the "Wario Waft" description. Zero Suit Samus, Sonic, and even Diddy uses elements of one move into another. Also... Dr. Mario was thrown in just because of that Dr. Mario music. If you'd like to count alternate costumes as returning characters Dr. Mario could score higher cause no way no how he'll be a seperate character again. I can see Pichu returning as the Dan of Smash Brothers even though nobody wants him to return. Sakurai is mad afterall. Also Marth, Mewtwo and Sheik are more likely than Falco, again if clones are out anyway. I don't expect Falco to return at all and that kind of saddens me But the fact is that Mario DOESN'T HAVE an alternate outfit for Dr. Mario, while Ike is Roy with original moves, and the Pikachu in Brawl "evolved" from Pichu. Besides, with all this music in Brawl, do you think Sakurai's going to skip out on the Fever Music? Dr. Mario is still more likely than Pichu and Roy.

Down+B moves never allow Flight, and it wasn't mentioned in the "Wario Waft" description. Because it was shown in the damn picture. Notice how, when Wario unleashes a charged shot, it's so powerful that it propels him upward? So what if Down-B's never operate as a third jump, there's a first time for everything. Tv Eye, most of your movelists (especially Ice Climbers and Snake) are just guesses and assumptions, which I think this list is trying to shy away from for the most part. We don't know whether or not the IC keeps their movelist in full yet. Same goes for Zelda keeping Naryu's Love, which we have yet to see in a screenshot, and who the heck said Snake's Down B was his box? For all we know, it's one of his taunts.

I just read a movelist somewhere, and I don't think Snakes box could be a taunt, he stays under there until something happens, like if someone takes the box off him or something...That's what Mario did, then he threw the box.

I can't add the moves that are not confirmed. Yes it's a VERY safe bet that Wario's B move is bite, but there's no actual confirmation. So I can't assume.
Snake's Box is probably his Down+B.... but there's no confirmation.
Same with Zelda... I can't assume she has the same moves. All we see is Din's fire in that 15 second movie.... and I'm actually assuming that's her Forward+B even though there's no confirmation. And Ice Climbers.... all I've seen is their Down+B... the Blizzard. I included these even though they're not confirmed because they're both veterans... and the assumption more likely than it is for newcomers.
But I will not add moves that are not confirmed. Wario, Snake, Lucas, Zelda, Ice Climbers, King DeDeDe, Pokemon Trainer, Kirby.. they weren't in the demo. So all I have to go on with them is the site... the trailers... and other tidbits.
As for the "In order of likeliness" list... I kinda just ordered it like that for fun. The purpose of that list is to just to list who isn't confirmed yet. But I do have reasons for why I ordered them like that. -Dr. Mario is the least likely... because he's the cloniest clone since clones came to clonetown. He IS Mario in another outfit. That's a lazy last minute character if ever there was one... and I hope Brawl is better than that. -Roy is next because his purpose in Melee was to advertise for his game, which wasn't out yet. Roy's time in the light has passed, he's old hat, and he needs to clear the way for more original characters. Yeah it's my opinion... don't freak out over it. -Pichu stands a better chance than either of them, because it's the handicap character, and it's popular. But still.... it's a clone... so it's hard to say.
Those three... no matter what order they go in... are the bottom 3. I should probably bump up Ness since we see Lucas is less and less like him every screenshot.

Also, I think Link's entrance is a reference to the Warp Whistle from LoZ.

Dude, what's with all the capital Ds? Madness! Dedede's name is a mystery wrapped in a conundrum. There are several "correct" ways of spelling and saying it--"Dedede" and "DeDeDe," and "Dee-dee-dee" and "Day-day-day." The only wrong ways that I know of are "Dede" and "Deh-deh-deh."

And the pronunciation should be cleared up when the announcer says it.

And the pronunciation should be cleared up when the announcer says it. Once the game is out, and when we look back on all of this...

The only wrong ways that I know of are "Dede" and "Deh-deh-deh." In my 15 years of being a huge Kirby fan, I've only ever seen it officially spelled Dedede and pronounced "dee-dee-dee". Every manual and game spells it Dedede, and the anime, in both English and Japanese, pronounces it "dee-dee-dee". So I assume those are correct.

I've been calling him "Dee-dee-dee" since I was a little kid, but now I kinda hope it matches with Japanese phonetics ("day-day-day") because now all my friends are pronouncing his name like Carlos Mencia saying "Dee dee dee!"
And I hate Carlos Mencia.

I always said day-day-day, probably because the E is pronounced as an A over here.
