The DOJO doesn't give a hobo about daylight saving, I've been getting updates an hour earlier for a week now. Yeah, but the US just got DST.

I updated with some of the returning items.
But I gotta ask... do you guys think that the Stopwatch item is from the Original Zelda? Why would that be in the "returning items" update? Hmm?

But hold on a sec....
...what's this "Original stance" crap people keep talking about? Unique animations for the home-run bat? The guy at the E for All Expo pointed that out too.... but it's NOTHING NEW. Everyone already had unique animations for swinging that bat.... it's not a new feature! But now, the site, and that guy, both felt the need to claim... "oh yeah... there's unique animations for the bat now".
WTF?

I'm pretty sure the animation for swinging the bat in the past was exactly like star rod or beam sword, only slower. Now they all pose like a bunch of pro baseball players

OH. I get it.
They're unique... as in unique from other SWINGING ITEMS.... and not unique as in unique from other CHARACTERS.
Thank you. That's a good explaination.

Well, Mario and Link have different stances while swinging it in that screenshot. Link's is left-handed.

I personally think it's from LoZ, but, if you want, put it with the other Smash items until it gets a franchise.

Stopwatches are pretty generic. My guess is it's just an item, and no franchise to tie it to.
EDIT: Thought I'd add some stuff, to help ya out
ASSIST TROPHIES --------------- Hammer Brother, tosses hammers in arch Nintendog, paws and blocks screen Samurai Goroh, runs and slashes his katana Dr. Wright, makes buildings grow under players Knuckle Joe, Vulcan Jab followed by Rising Break or a kick Devil, moves the stage itself around the screen Andross, spits tiles at players from background Lyn, disappears then slashes at nearest player Mr. Resetti, speaks dialogue that covers screen Excitebike, sprites drive around stage Lakitu, tosses Spinies at players Little Mac, volleys then uppercuts nearest player Gray Fox, hops towards a player then slashes at them repeatedly (Jill), drives her Drill Dozer across the stage back and forth (Advance Wars), an army marches towards the edge firing artillery
POKEMON ------- Chikorita - Razor Leaf Goldeen - Splash Snorlax - Body Slam Meowth - Pay Day Staryu - Swift Electrode - Explosion Entei - Fire Spin Groudon - (Drought?) Deoxys - Hyper Beam Munchlax - Swallow Piplup - Surf (Kyogre) - Hydro Pump, flies around (Torchic) - Ember, surrounds body (Bonsly) - Explosion, runs around stage before blowing up (Gardevoir) - Reflect, blocks items and projectiles with a shield (Latios) - Tackle, flies around horizontally (Latias) - Tackle, flies around diagonally

Unless the stop watch item gets a unique icon that's parts of the Mario, Zelda and Star Tropics symbols mashed together.

(Latios) - Tackle, flies around horizontally (Latias) - Tackle, flies around diagonally To me, it looked like either "Quick Attack", "Helping Hand", or maybe even "Dragon Dance". But I don't think it's tackle. Tackle is waaaaay too slow.

I agree that's it's probably not tackle. I wouldn't imagine them giving Tackle to powerful pokemon like those.
Dragon Dance, eh?
