Also, it's possible that John Tanaka is a Kozumi Totaka cameo, but again--not enough evidence. Don't you mean Hirokazu "Hip" Tanaka?

Thanks Fry ;D I wouldn't have even thought about it all them years ago without your help! ;D Oh, if I could only go back to that FAQ and make it a little more factually accurate...Unfortunately, aside from the SSBB Anony-FAQ, I haven't had the desire or attention span to work on anything like that in the longest time. And if only there was something to link John Tanaka with "Hip" Tanaka! That'd be a great cameo, right there.

I was hanging out at Starmen.net when I happened to check their Brawl page. On the Character page, they have a list of suggestions that Sakurai found interesting... starmen.net/ssbb/characters/What's interesting is that Black Shadow is on it... but Goroh isn't.

I wouldn't pay so much attention to that list...considering that Chain Chomp, Link's Uncle from LttP and the Blue Virus from Dr. Mario (wtf?) are on it... (Diddy is also on it twice for some reason )

Also there are a fair amount of characters from Konami besides Solid Snake on there too.

You're not supposed to look at that. Just the bit about Black Shadow and Nintendo Wars.

Listen to Masa...the man knows what he's talking about.
I remember that list, and really--a lot of characters on there are Assist Trophy status, if that. I'd still like to see Black Shadow and some Nintendo Wars playability, though.

Ummm, where on there does it mentioned anything Sakurai said. All this is is a rehash of the poll you can find on Smashboards and other places.

Well yes, I know it came from somewhere else. I'd never seen it before, but I felt it was relevant to this thread because if was one of the times I had seen Black Shadow on the list and no Goroh. If this list, for instance, is one that Sakurai considers significant, it could be why Goroh is an AT and that we could expect playable Black Shadow.

Famicom Wars has a trophy, so I doubt we'll get it as a fighter. I'm starting to fall under the impression that there are very few new franchises left to reveal, if any. They could easily fill a 40 fighter roster just with secondary characters.

Famicom Wars has an Assist Trophy that's simple sprites running across the screen. I'm at a loss as to how that disproves a fighter?
Nevermind the fact I know we won't get a fighter, just because Japanese fans have awful taste in games.

Nevermind the fact I know we won't get a fighter, just because Japanese fans have awful taste in games. Well, the Japanese are big fans of RPG's and all those boring types of games. Though Americans are fans of First Person Shooters and all those sh**ty types of games. (I seem to think I'm the only person in America who is sick of FPS games, and wants more Action/Adventure games.) Sakurai said himself he didn't want to make Smash his[/s] game, but everybody's. And if I'm not mistaken, I believe Pokemon Trainer was a character wanted in America more than Japan. He seems to do a good job of listening.
