 We’ve added Fire Mario to the selection.
Also, I hope SMG's red-and-black Super Mario Bros. 3-styled colorscheme for the Flying Mario power-up is one of Mario's colors too now. |

Fire Luigi was just old-school Luigi. He wore those colors in the original SMB, and the yellow gloves and darker skin are a reference to the game as well.

Maybe all the dark costumes have something to do with Subspace Emmisary. Maybe once you have everybody on your team the subspace army curses everybody accept one character. And that character will have to fight all of them like when you fight heaps of Primids.

And that character will have to fight all of them like when you fight heaps of Primids. I think it's only certain characters. Fox, Link, Zelda and Pit all have a dark costume. As for anyone else, we don't know. Who knows what it's all about. I bet we'll see it in an update. |

Kirby oughta have Shadow Kirby from Amazing Mirror as an option, as well as Brown Kirby and Purple Kirby. Other than that, I can't think of any other already unused Kirby colors.

Kirby's colors are fine in my eyes. Most of them are just straight up color changes and nothing more, so they aren't anything spectacular.

And yet, Kirby's color changes are overall the best in Melee! ;D Some individual costumes are pretty cool--my favorite, I think, is Blood Falcon, with Fox's "green" costume following up shortly afterwards--but for the most part the color changes don't mix well with the texture on the models, creating a gaudy, unimpressive feeling. But since Kirby really had no texture then, all his color changes looked great on him.
Now, though, I don't see the same issue regarding the texture. The colors are brighter, too, and some are much more distinct--Fusion Suit Samus is the first alternate color scheme for her that I've actually been interested in using since the first SSB, and Fire Mario looks fantastic.
EDIT: Ack, three smilies in two short paragraphs of post...? I'm losing my touch.

To be honest, I only really used regular Kirby or black and white Kirby. I skipped his other colour changes.
So Mario has Wario, Foreman Spike, Classic MB (box artwork), Fiery Mario... what else could he have?
