If true, that's some very cool news. I shall await that date with anticipation.

Basically they just say a character pops up within 4 weeks that completes the starting roster? Even I could've guessed that. I'm just wondering if they'll reveal obvious returning unlockables even before the Japanese release-date.

I will definitely believe it. If it's in a published article, it has to be true. (aside from EGM's April Fools pranks...)

Supposibly, the last starter would be the third third-party, which is more likely to be revealed AFTER being revealed in Coro Coro, if it's just revealing starters... Personally, I think it will reveal the vetern and newcomer starters as well as the vetern secret characters.
Actually, Coro Coro has Mega Man info every month, it seems... so Mega Man in Brawl being revealed in Coro Coro makes quite a bit of sense.

Anyway, I think this is true, but I won't get my hopes up just yet XD I'll be psyched when/if it happens though.

Interesting. I kind of just hoping Capt. Falcon finishes it. I'd be sad if he was hidden, or worse, not in the game.

Falcon will be playable, of that I have no doubt. Hidden or starter, he's gonna be playable.

Excluding Falcon, I'd say we already know the starting roster...
Still, just in case...I'm looking forward to this. Although maybe that sneaky Sakurai will reveal the rest of the starting roster before the article...

Okay, so tell me what bearing that has on the starting roster, then?

Okay, so tell me what bearing that has on the starting roster, then? Well, no one really knows if they will be starters or not. Sakurai said that all third parties would be unlockables, but also that he wouldn't show unlockables until the game has been released. Maybe I misinterpreted, but he must've changed his mind somewhere.

Maybe I misinterpreted, but he must've changed his mind somewhere. He never explicitly stated that unlockable characters wouldn't be shown until the game's release; that's just the pattern set by SSB and Melee. In this case I think Snake and Sonic were revealed early for hype and (in Sonic's case) to soften the blow that the game had been delayed. For the former, revealing the two early has been very successful; I can only imagine a deflated "...oh" coming from the gaming crowd in general if they had only found out after the fact.
