From what I heard from ChronoBound on Smashboards, Smash will be at Jump Fest 2008. The source is from a Japanese Blog Nintendo-Times.

Not gonna lie: a few festivals, conventions, and even tourneys are going to be having copies of Brawl in the next month or so. It's inevitable.
And, frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if a good chunk of us get to sample the game. I have a good hunch I will.

Well if they have this "jump fest" (sounds tiring) in 2008, wouldn't Brawl have already been released in Japan? We'd know everything by then...

Sounds like the japanese version of that E for All thing that happened a while back. Only with a final/near-final version of the game playable. I'd guess that Brawl will have been released before then anyway, so it sounds a bit pointless (unless you're one of those tourney guys, or enjoy going to games conventions I suppose). Now why can't the likes of this happen in the UK? I'm looking at you NOE!

I thought more people woyuld know what Jump Fest is.
It is a convention that will happen Dec. 22 and 23 in Japan. It's open to many Japanese publishers, but Square-Enix in particular has a very large showing.
We will probably get a short trailer on that day. That has usually been the case so far with conventions.

I believe it was DiU that said 3rd Party reveals often coincide with conventions...so, Megaman, then?
Or will it be a stinker, like Cloud or Sora, as this sounds like a big Squarefest?

If we recall, Mega Man's true 20th is the 17th, I believe.

Some good news (for once). Not only was their new trailers at Jump fest (which shows Zelda, ICs and Lucas) but the demo did indeed change. It adds Kirby and Wario, but removes Sonic. Wario Ware and the Summit were also playable. I'll add impressions.
