Oguma was the main character of the second Fire Emblem game. I believe. He's from Fire Emblem at least.

Oguma was the main character of the second Fire Emblem game. I believe. He's from Fire Emblem at least. Oguma was a very popular mercenary from the first and third games, but not a main character. The main character of the second one (Gaiden) is Alm. He actually shares the spotlight with Celica.

Claus is a character in Mother . He's Lucas' brother and an antagonist throughout the game. Not much else can be said without spoilers. Colour me confused on Demiru, Oguma and Kawisma tho. Except the antagonist thing IS a spoiler to people who have been trying to know nothing about the game aside from the basics. I'm not really angry you mentioned it though since it was spoiled for me months ago.

Sorry! I didn't know that would be a spoiler. I'd edit it if you hadn't quoted me.

Oguma is also known to be in your party from very early on and having awesome stats for the whole game. That still isn't reason enough for me to have him playable.

Some Japan-only characters that weren't mentioned in the SSBB poll still have a chance to appear in SSBB. Two examples I could think of are either Hiro from Trade & Battle: Card Hero, or either Satoru or Haruka from High Speed Card Battle: Card Hero. Kawashima's chance at appearing in SSBB is pretty high, not only because two of his requests were mentioned in the SSBB poll, but while the Brain Age series was released for the Nintendo DS, Kawashima's symbol is most likely the DS logo. However, I heard from Ivyna J. Spyder that Kawashima is a real person, and Sakurai can't add real people in the game. FryGuy64 thinks that Claus will not enter SSBB, because he thinks that Claus will become an Alt. costume for Lucas. However, several people think that Claus would work as "the Masked Man", meaning he would appear in his spoilerific outfit with moves that he used near the end of M3 / GBA EB.

Huh, maybe that's why people have been requesting him. Here's what he looks like if you're interested in seeing him... Well, I don't think he will be an alt. costume, Sakuai seems to only be using color swaps. And by "spoilerific" do you mean with the robot mask and tuxedo? 'Cause that's the only outfit I've seen him in.

I don't think Claus has any chance, unless it's as an assist trophy or costume. he's incredibly game-specific, whereas Ness and Lucas have been used as representatives of the series as a whole (to the point where they use moves they don't even learn in their own games).
if they really really want a villain in the game to represent Mother, it's going to be Pokey. HANDS DOWN.

'Cause that's the only outfit I've seen him in. Ivyna J. Spyder told me about Kawashima being a real person way back when the SSBB poll was open. If Kawashima appeared, then it would cause a lot of people to request celebrities like Mike Tyson and Ken Griffey Jr. for their appearance in the SSB series. I believe Lucas is enough for representing M3 / GBA EB, as well as the rest of the MOTHER / EarthBound series. If Claus appeared as a playable, then that would count as another Japan-only character, which I believe it is a really bad idea. However, Sakurai might use him as part of the Subspace Emissary.

I think one reason Pokey would make a good villain for the Mother Franchise is he appeared in both Earthbound an Mother 3. Claus only appeared in Mother 3.

Well, if they wanted to add another MOTHER rep, I think they'd just throw Ness back in.

we're getting into serious spoiler territory here! (not that it wasn't already spoiled on the Dojo anyway, but this is a little more blatant.)

No, DON'T screw spoilers! The unofficial translation is bound to come out in just a few months! Some of us want to play the game and experience the plot without reading about it first!
And if you have to talk about it, please USE SPOILER TAGS. It's not that difficult. Sheesh.
