The music is good, I think. I'm surprised they're calling it Porky's Theme. Porky is the Japanese name for the character; they used it in Mother 2 as well.

So this means Pokey is playable? ;p It's the same logic people are using for Ridley But more so for Ashely. Music is pretty good. Not the best, but still good. Worth the update.

I love this theme. And it's a shame Mother 3 won't be released in any other territory other than Japan.

His name in Japanese is essentially Pookii. (the double vowels being elongated) That could be transliterated into English as either Pokey or Porky. This happens a lot. It's the same problem with Starfy/Stafy, Zora/Zola or Zebes/Zebeth just to name a couple examples off the top of my head.
Before the play on his name involving pigs happened in Mother 3, the best transliteration was "Pokey" because as far as I remember, in Earthbound there was no play on his name referring to pork or pigs. So, it would be more accurate just to retcon the English Earthbound and call him Porky from now on, since the pun is fairly essential to a lot of stuff in Mother 3.

He's always been a fatass with a piggy like nose though Well, yeah... but Pokey worked just as well in Earthbound before there was a Mother 3. That's my point.

Spoiler cut, because I think I'm the only person who bothers anymore:
Isn't Pokey's identity as the leader of the Pigmasks concealed until near the end of the game, when Lucas, Kumatora and them all get into New Pork City? I don't know much but I remember reading something like that. I think he used the pseudonym "Porky" while leading the Pigmask cult. But what do I know, I've never even played EarthBound...
Anyway, hoorays! This music is fantastic. I love it.

This is a real cool theme. But I heard a lot of people (not on this board) say that Pokey or should I say Porky(why did Sakurai do this) should be playable because he got his song. Then they said Ashley and Ridley shouldn't get in. What the heck? They don't make sense! Anyway this has to be in my list of favorite songs of Brawl! EDIT: Deadpool, I think I read that somewhere too!

Yeah, he isn't revealed until the final chapter and I guess it's supposed to make people go 'woah, it's that fat kid from EB/M2, didn't expect that!!' That's why people (Starmen.net) go apeshit about these spoilers.

Well this is a sign that Pokey/Porky might appear as a boss in the Sub-Space Adventure. Most likely in his MOTHER3 incarnation. ]A 10000 year old brat stuck on a mechanical, spider death-bed.
But in that case. How would they describe his "One" and only attack? Afterall, they only described his attack as "Porky did... Something..." then you get enormous damage...

Petey Piranha, from what you can see from E For All videos, only really attacks by jumping and using the cages, neither of which come from SMS, SPP or M&L:PiT. So even though Pokey "does something" in M3, he'll probably rely on some other, basic stuff assuming he's in the spiderbed.
Personally, I hope he uses the Spidermech from the end of EarthBound.Edit: WANKWANKWANKWANKWANKWANKWANK. Jesus.

This IS getting ridiculous... Pussyfooting around you lot who are waiting for that fan translation of Mother 3. I mean, dudes... we're TALKING about the game here, in a clearly Mother-related spoiler thread.

My eyes, they burns. SPOILERS!!! Okay, I fixed my post. Smart idea, though, quoting what I said. Brilliant move.
Christ, I give up. I'm not talking about MOTHER on NinDB anymore until we get over this damn spoiler fixation.
