This appears in Metroid Prime. It’s the first spaceship Samus infiltrates. What you see in the background is the Parasite Queen. Th-the power went out?!For a spaceship that just causes trouble, it sure does have a lot of problems.
But what really defines this stage is the way it rotates 180 degrees. The siren scream is a warning! Suddenly, it flips... The terrain inverts!When the siren goes off, jump into the air to flee.
But when you’re in a pinch, so is your opponent. Stall your opponent to take advantage! |

Kick. Ass. I love this stage! I bet you can fall when the gravity inverts, which is awesome. And the Parasite Queen can attack when that happens as well, which is nice. I think I will play this one a lot, honestly.

Ignoring returning stages, does this mean just Mario and Metroid have more than one stage each so far? A crazy idea. I wonder if that parasite queen shoots beams or is simply there as background decoration ala Kraid in Melee. A double update too. I wonder if Sakurai thought this would be a disappointing update for Japan... |

Great to finally see a Metroid Prime stage in the game and the 180 degree flip is pretty cool too.
I also like the layout of the platforms on this stage as well.

I never played Metroid Prime, but this is a very cool stage! It reminds me a lot of Brinstar Depths.

I'm very happy about the Metroid Prime representation, but why couldnt it be outside? The indoor/underground Metroid stages are really starting to annoy me. *crosses fingers for that snowy place with a name I cant remember* And did anyone notice that since Metroid Prime is unpopular in Japan, they paired it with Japan-only music? |

Link called and says that he has two excellent games on the Gamecube. Anyway, the idea of having a stage that can flip itself over is pretty cool. I can't help, but think this might mean another Metroid character. |

Oh, there won't be MP stuff. Sakurai hates MP. A double update too. I wonder if Sakurai thought this would be a disappointing update for Japan... Never thought of it. Maybe, but then again, who could be mad at a whole new course. Dare I say it, updates are good again. It would just be nice to get another character (I know Falcon is there Sakurai) or Zelda's special moves (or an update to her in general). But these will suffice, and then some. |
