Finally a stage that recognises that there are Metroid games post Super Metroid/Fusion.
Anway, this is a nice change from all those acid/lava Metroid stages we always get, and I totally dig the whole rotation thing.

Not a bad stage. There was a lot of better things they could have picked, but this is a good space-y level. It works.

Is it me or are the side platforms revolving around the base platform from photo to photo.
This also gives me some hope Dark Samus will show up in some shape or form.

Heh. Kinda makes you wonder if Sakurai's team suffered through Metroid Prime only long enough to beat the Parasite Queen, tossed their controllers down and said, "Yeah. We'll just use that."

Y'know, I thought the same thing. I mean... of all the places from the Prime series, this is the one that I never even considered.

And another one who agrees here. I'm not even a fan of Metroid and I do know this place. Which is in part good because more people will recognize it but I'm totally clueless about better places from Prime 1, 2, Hunters, or 3. Maybe they will appear in SSB4? This stage sounds as fun as Norfair.

Go get it. NOW! Prime is the best 1P game EVER on the gamecube! Link called and says that he has two excellent games on the Gamecube. Yeah but Samus has a better one.

It's not Phendrana Drifts, the Phazon Mines, Aether or Phaaze...but it's a Metroid Prime level so by jove I'll take it! ;D
Seriously, this level fucking wins. I hope the Parasite Queen comes out to attack you when the ship's power fails, just to spice things up even more. The floor swapping places is a nice touch, too, and I can see how fun making KOs during that hectic time would get.

Metroid Prime being represented in Brawl! Perfect! Now do you think that Mario Galaxy has a chance?
Ps: Didn't Samus change her apperence in Brawl like Mario and Link and all those guys?

Samus got the updated Prime-look, as did her logo. So yeah. And there were totally better stages to pick, but considering this is the most recognizable to most people.. it's the best option. I doubt we'll see Galaxy still, though, considering that Brawl is pretty much through development and Galaxy was post-development for Brawl, in my mind. They're including stuff from the GCN and early Wii eras. I can't see Galaxy being referenced too heavily in this game. I'd shit myself if it were, though.

Hey, doesn't mean there can't be Galaxy music.

To be honest I never got into the 3D Metroids and I quit playing Prime pretty fast, but atleast I got far enough to recognise this area Oh and the actual stage is pretty cool as it's basically an inverted Brinstar Depths.

For the record? The comment that got quoted like ten times as a "Prime Haters Represent!" thing?
I was being sarcastic in venting my frustration at Sakurai. The stage looks cool, but it kinda blows that they couldn't do something past the first hour of the first game.
Also: Prime rules!
