In the last game, you plopped the coins you collected into a prize-dispensing machine for a chance to get trophies. That was fine and all, but I got to thinking that there really wasn’t any strategy involved.
So this time, I dropped it. Instead, you’ll be getting your trophies in THIS kind of game! I dub this the Coin Launcher!I’m gonna have you play every inch of this game! That option on the right is the entrance to the Coin Launcher. That thing down below is the launcher.Tilt left and right to change the angle of the launcher and press the button to roll coins out. Basically, the coins themselves are your bullets. Firefirefirefire. FIRE! And you got it! An enemy formation has appeared!When you defeat formations of smaller enemies, you earn stickers and bonuses. When your green gauge fills up, it becomes possible to shoot coins rapid-fire for a short time. A missile appeared!Hit the missiles to shoot them down. If a missile strikes, your coin count will decrease! Whaaaaaaa!Press the Cancel Button to quit. Then the results of your trophy and sticker shooting will appear. The green ones are trophies. The red ones are stickers.The more you play the other modes, the more coins you’ll earn for the Coin Launcher. You can even earn them in Spectator mode.
When you want even more coins, inviting friends over is your best option. The more people you play with, the more coins you’ll earn. |

Well, this is different. It seems like it takes more coins to get a trophy this time, which may be annoying. The missles seem really annoying.. And we find out whats in the Vault menu screen.
Trophies confirmed in this update:
Chain Chomp
Zoda (F-Zero)
Tortimer
Pelly and Phyllis
Dragoon
ROB 64
Medli
Bob-Omb
Plus, TP Link and MAch Rider stickers
EDIT:Fiery Blowhog and Sir Kibble trophies too. Boxey, Phantom Ganon and what looks like OoT's Hero Bow are also stickers.

Wow! This is the thing that I love the most from Smash! The Trophies! BTW, I was thinking that maybe Sakurai could go one step forward and give us the chance to make changes of stickers and trophies through the Internet! How cool would that be? Even there could be region only elements that would force people to change!

Since I spent every moment on trophies when I got Melee on Christmas of 2001 I am literally making a mess on my chair (not really) as I see the update.
I've recognized all the stickers and trophies (too many Mario and Kirby things shown, should have been Mach Rider trophy and like.. other things)... and Zoda was a great trophy to see.... but what is the trophy in the first screen at the top? Not Sir Kibble mind you.

;DThis is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better then that Melee Lottery! I bet there will be a trophie on the coin launcher! This is so GREAT! And I was about to say that this disconfirmes Mach Rider...BUT IT DOESEN'T! LINK IS THERE TO! So maybe Sakurai is telling us that Mach Rider is playable because he is with Link! Probley not though. And what's the trophie in this image?  And is that Dixie Kong near the number 4? It also shows us the vault! And look at those NEW tropies and stickers! Kind of deconfirmes Zoda as a boss. (He wasn't picked for one by fans anyway!) |

Wow! Now this is cool! What hasn't Sakarai thought of! This is way better (and more fun) than the lottery. those two pelicans form the post office in Animal Crossing Pelly (the white one) and Phylis (the pink one, I don't think I spelt it right). |

The Lottery was a really cheap way to get trophies, so this is a big improvement. Rick Wheeler has no chances at appearing in the game, right? For some reason, I used to think that his origin being from the anime didn't matter that much. Did anybody notice the Wi-Fi logo under the realease date? Is that old? I first noticed it this week. |

Pretty cool idea, but seems like a bit of a waste. Why not shoot bullets instead of money.
AND........another F-Zero trophy. Sure is a good deal of F-Zero stuff, but where is the Falcon?

Zoda's pretty much a well-known villain, but I still don't think Rick Wheeler would replace Falcon. That's just crazy.
Wi-Fi Logo was added... yesterday? It's been there since at least this morning. Nifty, huh?

Flip, the robot is ROB64 and the machine is Dragoon from Kirby Air Ride.
Someone said the spaceship thing is from Pikmin, called a "Fiery Blowhog". Never into Pikmin much so I have no idea if that's correct.

Well this looks pretty fun. Blow up little planes while earning trophies.
When they're turning stuff like Robfriggen64 into trophies I can't help but wonder how many this game will have.
