In SSB and SSBM, the characters were grouped by series for the most part, and even moved around in SSBM as you unlocked new characters. This is utter nonsense with people placed anywhere. I reckon this is yet another fake, created from a screenshot of the character selection screen from the earlier demos.
I mean... sure, where are the secret characters going to go?!

seems pretty plausible, even though there's no rhyme or reason to the character placement. but who says there has to be?
and hey, if you swapped Diddy and Yoshi, you'd have the whole starting roster for the N64 game in one row!

Actually, it makes me think kit's fake. On the select screen (as confirmed by E for All) the announcer will say the name. Here, Pit just makes a sound. Also, I'm not sure, but is the verses Link an old sound bit. It doesn't sound like the new announcer.

I listened to the old announcer for comparison. There are differences.

I listened to the old announcer for comparison. There are differences. But with the the announcer not saying the name, it makes me skeptical, and it's hard to hear if the voice is different, but it doesn't have that deep, sports announcer.

Are you sure he doesn't say the name? I could've swore I heard something before the scream. Well Brawl is out in like 9 days in Japan, Im sure we can expect loads of new youtube videos before too long.

This is looking more real then ever. That video would of taken ages to make. maybe that's why we didn't get new info for a while I'm saying this guy really has the demo...but one thing bothers me. Last night wehn we got the screenshot it was classic mode....but now he posted a video starting classic mode...shouln't he have an unlocked character? Like jiggilypuff?! I'm confused....dosen't matter.

Oh and for those who don't know yet: The video wasn't made by this guy. He found it on a cellphone video site and decided to post it on Youtube.

I don't know if the announcer says the character's name in Classic Mode; sounds like the selected character says something/makes a noise. Very cool touch, if you ask me.

True, it sounded like it could be Pit shouting something. Regarding what we discussed at the very end of this, added to this info on the Groudon sticker... What would be the fate of the Hoenn Pokémon? I mean... Hoenn was parallel to Kanto in several ways, and those starter Pokémon have many fans (not attending to statistics like those who led to this, but empirically from what you saw if you have gone to many message boards in these years). I know that certain people could have mentioned it if it were going to happen, but I wonder what kind of decisions happened in the last months of development. Remember how to select Overalls Wario? That's what I had in mind when posting that idea. Then again, Totodile was just a trophy in Melee... And this is not Super Smash Pokémon, like Fry once told me when I had just joined this message board.

^ I personally thought the Gen 3 games were the worst. I don't know...
Gen 1 was the best though, and it's only fair that it gets 3 (5?) representatives.

Gen 3 is my favorite. It's underapreciated I think. Most of my favorite pokemon come from that generation... and it introduced the world to Mudkips. Alot of the pokemon look alot more.... futuristic. More sci-fi. But I like those kinds of designs better than ones that just look like different versions of real animals. It was alot better than the second in my book....
All I got out of that generation was Wobbuffet.....
As for the fourth... it's very good... and Lucario was the best pick to rep that generation. For a non-starter, non-lengendary, he's done pretty good for himself.
Any ideas on a final smash?

I loved the Gen 3 Pokémon because of the vibrant, tropical look to them. Gen 4 has a more subdued look (mostly 'cause the entire game has a cold-climate theme, the opposite of Gen 3's warm-climate one) which I don't like as much.
Though Lucario and Riolu are my favourite Pokémon overall.
