There’s a web page nestled within Nintendo’s official site where Mr. Iwata, President of Nintendo Co. Ltd., interviews other Nintendo employees. This corner of the website is known as "Iwata Asks."
For some reason, I, Masahiro Sakurai, was invited to one of these interviews.
Wha--?
But I’m not a Nintendo employee! I-is this OK? Are we seriously doing this? Oh, is that so? All right, well, if you insist!
I imagine this interview should give you a tiny glimpse behind the curtains to see what creating Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been like.
Go on and click the link below to check it out!

It's a great interview, very personal to them both, being such long-term colleagues. And the "more to come" at the end was a lovely surprise. Bring it on!

I like how Sakurai apparently talks in real life how he does on the dojo - him going on and on about how its "Iwata asks his former employee" made me chuckle.

It was a good read. I am more interested in what Sakurai was thinking when he put in Wolf and R.O.B. 64 and gave Fox two semi-clones in Falco and Wolf and brought back Ness when Lucas is already sufficient enough to represent the Mother franchise. Hopefully volume 2 or later will shed some light in Sakurai's decisions.

It was a good read. I am more interested in what Sakurai was thinking when he put in _________ Those are rumors... or spoilers at this point... but either way, you should edit that post. The spoiler rules are in effect.

This was a really fascinating read, but a lot of it was stuff that's been previously revealed on the old DOJO - before the weekdaily updates last May started up. Still, I anticipate the second release of this because I'm sure the information will be much juicier.

If you're quite finished not thinking, I'd like to throw you a little nugget.
For the past - what - two years, almost? We've been speculating on who will and will not be playable in Brawl, coming up with either hearty approximations, educated guesses, or - at worst - incessant fanboying. But we at least kept our wits about us. Now some half-bit rumor monger posts a fake roster that involves two Star Fox characters whom will most likely not be playable due to disinterest, a lack of distinction from other Star Fox characters, or a lack of combat skill, and you're treating it like Spirits-given fact, and I wonder what on this green Earth is wrong with you.
I'm not trying to flame you - but I strongly, strongly encourage that you put an end to this rash assumption. Because you know what happens when you assume - even worse when rashes are involved. But if you want a Star Fox fanboy's word on it, then you can have mine: ROB64 hasn't done enough for the franchise to be more than an Assist Trophy, and Wolf comes nowhere near Falco or Krystal in terms of demand, relevance or combat readiness. The likelihood of either being playable characters is so slim that Goroh, Waluigi, Stafy and Saki Amamiya have better chances at claiming those spots...and we already know they ain't got 'em.

Part 2 is also quite interesting, though at the start its more Iwata Tells than Iwata Asks.

Yeah I was thinking that too.... Iwata did most of the talking here. Kind of a... non-interview.

Sakurai says that we could've had Smash Bros. Wii And it's sort of implied that he was thinking of going the route of using Miis and simplified gameplay. Thank christ he didn't... XD
