I thought it meant that you can only play the game for a certain amount of time, then you can never play the game again.

It'll just kick you out of the game after a set time and be like, "Now go buy the real game you damn hippie!"

It's an interesting concept but it doesn't do me much good since I've played all those games already. Maybe one of my friends would benefit from it more, but otherwise...eh.
Oh, and that picture from Star Fox 64 makes me cry. D:

I can't believe how many people on THE INTERNETS are complaining about this update. sure, it's unnecessary, but it's just one more piece of Nintendo history in a huge game that's all about celebrating Nintendo history. they're extras. I'm 100% positive that the time it took them to slap some stupid ROMs on the disc didn't prevent them from adding another character to the game.

From the sounds of it... people simply don't understand the update. I don't think it's really a necessity, but it's good for giving people the option to see where the characters come from. But a shame that the available games seem to be dependent on them being on VC.

what really gets me is the people complaining that these demos take up space on the disc that could be used for other things. I know not everyone is particularly tech-savvy, but come on! I doubt there will be anything bigger than Star Fox 64, and that's still barely the smallest fraction of a fraction of the space available on a Wii disc.

Read what Falco is saying... he's gonna have to back off? Why would Sakurai use this particular screenshot with Falco for the Dojo? It probably means nothing but what if Sakurai is hinting that Falco is out of Brawl because Falco said "I'm gonna have to back off"? Again, it probably means nothing and Sakurai just wanted to mess with our heads about whether Falco is in or not.

The images are different in the Japanese update... Also, maybe they chose Star Fox 64 because it is the first one to feature Wolf...? I don't know if the first one did. I never played it.

Yes your right, SF64 was the first game to feature Star Wolf but he would have been in the cancelled SF 2 for the SNES as well. I think the reason why SF64 is in the game is probably because it is a remake of the first game and considered the best in the series. The game could also have a multiplayer demo as well (and hopefully Ice Climber and the other games with multiplayer do as well).

Kinda like how they used FE3 instead of FE1.

Fry.... I guess these games aren't depenent on VC. The did include a non-VC game called MOTHER2. Kinda like how they used FE3 instead of FE1. Ya, from my experience playing FE3 is better than FE1... considering how you can't see what spaces you can move to in FE1! But with FE11 coming up, wouldn't the inclusion of FE1/3 be distracting sales?

"Sakurai-kun, please do not put earthbound in the English version."
"B- but why?!"
"We don't want to make more insane Earthbound to fans bother us."

Earthbound isn't on the VC yet. If it appears I'm sure it'll be on the disc, but likely it'll take a damn long time. That said, same goes for Nazo, Fire Emblem, etc.
Personally, I think it should just be videos and that way they can do GCN era games as well as link you to the proper Wii Shop page.
