Complete the Roster! *spoilers*

I saw this on Gamefaqs and I thought it would be fun for our little community just the same. Try and put one more character into every column based on the guidelines below. There's also a full, new column you can fill to your liking. But this is a fun way to get to know who everybody really wanted to appear in-game, on top of the final roster.

Heh, cool idea. Between my Smash Bros. Brawl predictions and what I had in mind for some fan designs...let's see...
Edit - Fleshed out some things.

1. Hm. I'd go with Mouser (SMB2) here, just to give it a bit more representation. He'd be a projectile specialist.
2. I'd go with DK Jr. here. I picture him being a bit similar to Dk, but using his various tools from DK Jr., like the vines as his Up B, throwing fruit, dodging Klaptraps, etc. He'd be lighter and notas tough as his dad, but he's still tough.
3. I think Vaati would be a fascinating concept to try to execute. I He would use a lot of wind and his misc. eye design elements in his moveset.
4. I love Ridley as a boss, but I think using the original Kraid from the NES Metroid would be somewhat fresh. He'd be a bit like Bowser - heavy and slow, but would function very differently. He could reflect projectiles, for one.
5. Hm, seeing the animal buddies from Kirby would be cool. Go Rick! I don't have much of a concept beyond that, really. XD
6. Samurai Goroh is my choice here. He'd be a powerful, but chunky, sword user that relies on a lot of traps and tricks in his moveset.
7. Hm, I know little of Pokemon. I suppose I'd bring in Meowth, since he's my favorite. He'd be scrappy, quick and rather weak in his damage dealing.
8. Lyn is my choice here. She'd be a solid character in my eyes, one that could be a fresh take on a sword user. Picture Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, but with the added bonus of a bow and light runes, and you'll get what I'm thinking.
NC. Mike Jones (Star Tropics, another excellent choice, and would be a projectile specialist like Samus), Akari Hayami (1080, a very weird character, but one that would be very unique. Great speed and technique to her moves, which would use her snowboard), Sami (Wars, would be the sniper of Brawl with her vast arsenal), Lash (Wars, kooky evil genius that uses tons of gizmos and inventions for her moves) and Jenna (Golden Sun, 'cause we need a different kind of magic user than Zelda, one that can use Psyenergy, Djinn and fire ^_^ )
9. Mega Man...he's a legend, has a solid moveset that could be easily yanked from the Marvel Vs. games and his power ability could borrow from Nintendo heroes. He would have been great. XD

And yeah, I noticed that the Pit/Samus column had a distinct "one-shot" feel to it. Olimar was just a holdover going into Kirby's column, I figure.

I threw Doc back in because Mario and Luigi have essentially been de-cloned, so Doc could've stayed the same and gotten a unique Final Smash.

Supposedly Dixie was to be paired with Diddy, but got cut due to engine trouble. Since Diddy held up so well as his own character, I figure Dixie could do the same with hair whipping attacks and maybe a Final Smash involving Kiddy Kong.

Seems like a dumb idea, but while Toon Zelda would be a clone of Zelda, in reality she wouldn't because she'd turn into Tetra instead of Sheik. Tetra would have to be different from Sheik because one is a pirate and the other's a ninja.

Flip is gonna hate me for this, I really thought Ridley had a chance, especially after that part of the Melee opening. I don't think downsizing him would've been a problem, plus I really wanted to fight Kraid and Mother Brain in Adventure Mode instead.

I thought maybe he'd have a chance since his theme song was a part of the Ice Climber rep in Melee, plus the only thing related to his series in Brawl is that fish, which is once again a part of the Ice Climber rep. Besides, how else would my Balloon Arena stage idea become a reality?

I wanted Pichu to remain in the game in some form, so I figure giving you two of them (Luigified, of course) at once would make it worthwhile.

You all know why Takamaru should be added. Just ask Flip. I wanted Mike Jones for the longest time now. The Star Tropics download only heightened my desire. Andy is there because Masamune was right about the Wars rep. If anything, Sami's best possible moveset was already given to Snake, so Andy could be similar to Pokemon Trainer or Olimar with the ability to control Tanks or Infantry. Maybe he can get a "Landmaster" esque Final Smash! *gunned down*
Saki and Mac were added because their Assist Trophies are painful to look at without knowing they'd make swell playable characters.

Row 9:
Mach Rider
Game+Watch
Sukapon
Snake
Sonic

Mach Rider is sort of there for the same reasons as Balloon Fighter, though I think it would be cool to see him use that "breaking apart" effect as part of his moveset. The bike could be like a souped up version of Wario's bike, Captain Falcon's Final Smash, and the Landmasters. Lastly, I added Sukapon. I know Sakurai doesn't care about him and I know there was engine trouble early on, but the character is awesome, and you all know it.

I tried to come up with something sort of semi-realistic, based on what I think Sakurai might do. Here's what I came up with.

1) Bowser Jr - fairly high up the Mario pecking order these days
2) Waluigi - simply because I realy like him, he manages to just beat out a third DK rep
3) Toon Zelda / Tetra - just edges out Tingle based on the fact we know Sakurai was considering her
4) I'm gonna cheat here: Mr. Game & Watch - I would have said Ridley, but I don't think he's ever making it into Smash as a playable character now. And by moving G&W here (he fits well) I get one more third party spot. Which is what I want.
5) Uh... Lolo? - Not really sure. No more Kirby dudes, thats for sure.
6) Gorogorogorogorogorogorohogo
7) Mewtwo - based on the fact he was apparently almost in Brawl
8) Roy - same as Mewtwo
9) Went with characters that are assist trophies here, as I assume these characters are perhaps more notable in Sakurai's mind than random characters pulled out of nowhere: Isaac, Little Mac, Jill, Saki Amamiya and... uh... I don't know. Some Wars dude / dudette, I guess.
10) Megaman and Pacman - I've been through this before, but I think they should have had spots in the roster. Now in my fictional roster, they do.

I am convinced that the majority of the new fighters in SSB4 will be the Brawl assist trophies. It just seems to make sense to me. It means nothing for Takamaru, but it does add up.

Column 1: MARIO
Moved Yoshi over because there's not really any other Mario character I'd like to see in Brawl.

Column 2: DK/WARIO
Added King K. Rool in the empty spot and Captain Syrup in Yoshi's spot. It's hard to pick a Wario rep. but I went with Captain Syrup to get some Wario Land representation.

Column 3: LEGEND OF ZELDA
I added Mike Jones. There's no new Zelda character I want in Smash Bros, so I went with a game that's kinda like Zelda: StarTropics!

Column 4: GUNPEI YOKOI
Moved out Ice Climbers to my new column and brought over Mr. Game & Watch. Then I added Ridley, because he's the character I wanted the most that didn't make it.

Column 5: KIRBY
I figured Lolo & Lala would be a good add to this column since they've appeared in Kirby games. They'd be neat additions to Smash Bros, but at this point it's pretty hard to add this many Nintendo characters.

Column 6: STAR FOX/F-ZERO
Added Samurai Goroh. He's clearly the second most famous F-Zero racer, and he'd easily have a different moveset from C. Falcon.

Column 7: POKÉMON
Put Mewtwo back in the game.

Column 8: FIRE EMBLEM/MOTHER
I decided the best character to put between swordsmen and psychics is someone with experience in both. Isaac is a deserving character for a playable spot in Smash Bros.

Column 9: FAMICOM
I made a Famicom column that includes Ice Climbers, Little Mac, Takamaru, Mach Rider, and Balloon Fighter. Little Mac and Takamaru would be great fighters in Smash Bros and I could probably come up with great movesets for them. Mach Rider and Balloon Figher got in because I like the characters and I started running out of ideas.

Column 10: THIRD PARTY
Moved Game & Watch (since he's not third party) and added Mega Man and Pac-Man. Those two are pretty much the faces of Capcom and Namco, so I think they work pretty well.

Admittedly Balloon Fighter would make a fantastic addition and I like your list a lot, Walrus. Kudos!
