I know the topic of ideas for a SSB game is sorta tired by this point, but it's something to talk about Out of curiousity, what do you guys wanna see for items in a future Smash Bros. game? I would like to see the bucket from Mario and Wario make an appearance. It could fall on your head and blind you, messing your controls. Also, the Eggplant Wizard's wand from Kid Icarus would be nifty. Works like a longer Star Rod, can fire up to 6 veggies when you smash with it that will turn the person they hit into an eggplant (of course, temporarily).

Vanish Cap (replaces Cloaking Device): Character goes all pixelly, any attack passes through character.
Deluxe Meal: Heals all damage irrespective of the characters damage percentage.
Animal Crate: Character climbs on Rambi/Squitter doing damage to any opponent rammed/webbed for a limited period only (say 8 seconds for example).
Pikmin: Pluck pikmin sprouting out of ground and throw at an opponent. 6 pikmin then appear and start to attack opponent for a few seconds then disappear.
Bull Hat: Temporarily makes your attacks stronger.

Spiked Shell - Like the green shell, but absolutely devastatingly damaging. Lightning Bolt - Shrinks all the other characters. Flight Cap- Gives character Kirby/Jigglypuff-esque flight for a while. Boo- Steals another character's item (if they have one) Timer- Stops time for a few seconds.

Force Gem - increase attack power a bit (Insert any star here) - A bit stronger version of Warp Star Plasma hat - (1) move your character serveral times (2) Shoot the plasma! Flying Spiked Shell - shoot it and it will hit the first-placed character Four Swords - have 3 cloned version of you controlled by the CP. They will vanish after 10 seconds.

Heres some of my ideas
Nayru's Love=Protects you from all attacks and deflects them back at other players Explosive Crate=pick it up and throw it before it explodes Hover Boots=makes the player fly around for short period of time

Gooey: Will save you from being knocked off the screen with his stretchalicious powers! Banana Skin: Will make a character slip up comically, stunning them. POW Block: Knocks everyone over and stuns them. Four Sword: Quadruples your attack power temporarily (but prevents you from knocking anyone away).

Gooey: Will save you from being knocked off the screen with his stretchalicious powers! Yuck! I'd rather die then being licked! Four Sword: Quadruples your attack power temporarily (but prevents you from knocking anyone away). Seems a good thing for racking up damage. There's no fun if you KO someone under 150%,

Heh. Some nifty ideas here.. Here's a few more: Super Lollipop: Same as a Starman, but has to be picked up like any other Food item, and makes your dash faster --Kirby's Dreamland Virtual Boy: Worn on your face, slows the game down temporarily while you use it (lasts slightly less time than Cloaking Device). Turns the screen black with red outlines around everything, giving it a trippy effect. Your character leaves behind faded "images" when they move about, adding to the hypnotic imagery. --Hardware Angel Feather: Automatic save from a fall if you carry this, but only if you fall to the bottom of the screen (the sides and top don't count). Your character bounces right back, high into the air on a flashing pair of wings. Lasts only once. --Kid Icarus Stopwatch: Freezes the clock, and other players, for five seconds. Opponents don't move when you hit them, but they take damage. --Zelda, Star Tropics Astericks: Toss this like a throwing star to deal good damage. But hit the A button again quickly after tossing it, and it will split in two, flying off above and below you. --Star Tropics Kuribo's Shoe: Hop in! You lose all your abilities, but you jump like crazy and now have the power (finally) to deal damage by landing on somebody's head. --Super Mario Bros. 3 That's all from me for my second try

Hey YL... if you don't like Gooey the idea was you hold him rather than "equip" him... so if you don't want to be saved by stretchy goo then you can just chuck it away. Besides, with FlipTroopa's Angel Feather, we may have just predicted a new kind of item... the kind that saves you from falls. I like that As a side-topic to this thread... what new Pokemon should there be in the Pokeballs and what moves should they have?

Master Ball - throw it at an oppenent to temperarily trap them inside, giving them damage constantly until the ball breaks in a few seconds.
Cane of Pacci (Minish Cap - Similar to Fryguy's POW block idea in that you can flip opponents over, but used like the Star Wand instead. Good for 6 uses.
Chain Chomp - Bounces back and forth on the arena, knocking people around (similar to Marill from SSBM, but with more power)
As for Pokemon, some of my suggestions...
Slaking - Sits around, basicly doing nothing for a random period of time, then releases a powerful hyper beam that does some good damage.
Spinda - Spinda uses Dizzy Punch, and, if it connects, the hit player's controls are reversed for a few seconds. So you know, push left to go right, push up to go down, etc, etc.
Plusle and/or Minun - One of these guys comes out of the pokeball, and uses a fairly weak Thundershock... but, if the other happens to be released while it is doing this, they team up and unleash an extremely powerful Thunder attack that does huge damage to everyone. (Note: If one appears, the chances of the other coming from the next Pokeball would increase to, say, double or triple of their usually value, so there is at least some sort of chance of them both appearing)
Gulpin - Eats any, and every, item on the field in its path for a few seconds. After eating as much as it can in this time, it unleashes an attack which is more powerful the more it has eaten.
Camerupt - "Erupts", causing flaming rocks to shoot out of its humps and then fall back to the ground.
Thats it for now.

I can see them tossing in 4th Generation Pokemon, because they're slick like that (remember how Roy was in Melee BEFORE his game actually came out? ) Munchlax: Scratches his head, and then runs after and gobbles up any food on the arena floor. If he's not near any, he just disappears. Ditto: It was supposed to be in Melee from what I hear, but the programming was very difficult. Maybe not so on the Rev... Ditto becomes a copy of your character, a CPU controlled "Player 2" who follows you around and assists your attacks for a short period of time, or until they are knocked out. Duskull: Picks a random fighter and follows them closely, draining health as he goes. Ludicolo: Dances like the crazy loon he is (;D), healing whoever threw him out with his Rain Dish (as long as they touch him). Trapinch: Burrows underground and pops up (like a Pirahna Plant!), nipping toes and causing damage whenever someone steps over his trap. Kyogre: Couldn't be more obviously in the game. Dives into the air and causes a torrential downpour, followed by a screen swallowing tidal wave (not powerful knocking force, but good damage), into which he disappears. Groudon: Also very obviously going to be in the game. Slams his girth against the ground, causing a screen shattering quake (okay damage, but excellent knocking force when you're on the ground). He then leaps away. Rayquaza: EXTREMESPEED!! > Rekkuza roars and flies off screen, then dashes at top speed from the right, like a horizontal Snorlax, with much more length to it. Jirachi: Same as Mew and Celebi. He opens all three eyes, laughs, and then closes them and vanishes. Regis: All three Regis do the same attack, which is a Curse followed by a Superpower. They charge for a bit, then blast a burst of energy from their bodies. The differences are that Regice can freeze, Regirock can bury you in the earth, and Registeel makes that cool "ping" sound like when the swords hit each other I... think that's enough Pokemon And thanks for liking the idea, Fry. SSB needs more Kid Icarus love!

Bulky Bob-omb: same as a regular bob-omb but does more damage and has a bigger blast radius.
Bullet Bill Cannon: shoots bullet bills at opponents.
Pirahna Plant Capsule: Throw it on the ground and a Pirahna Plant will appear, snapping at anybody who comes near it.
Ztar: People who collect it take twice as much damage as normal for a short period.

I can see them tossing in 4th Generation Pokemon, because they're slick like that (remember how Roy was in Melee BEFORE his game actually came out? ) I can picture them doing that, too - infact, I wouldn't be surprised if a 4th Generation Pokemon was actually a playable character - of the ones already known, both Rukario and Manyula would make really great fighters. Of course they are much more likely to put somebody like Bonsly in. Good suggestions there, too, especially with Groundon and Kyogre - I was thiking of them, but couldn't come up with a good move for either.

Yeah, maybe adding some future game characters is a good idea. Roy appeared in SSBM as his first appeareance.
Famicom / NES: Famicom-ize all the character: change the whole thing into 8-bit style graphic.
SFC/SNES: Need no explaination, eh?
Pokemon Togepi: New function: Make everyone float.
