Well, you know what I'll be doing tomorrow.
Definitely upgrading S&P1. I have no reason to re-purchase Star Successor other than to support it, and as much as I'd like to do that, it's just not really financially practical for me. Which means I'll have to bug other people to support it!
So guys, if you haven't already, please check out both Sin & Punishment games. I really want Nintendo and Treasure to make a third one!
These days, just because Europe gets something doesn't mean it's right around the corner for North America (or vice versa).
Guess we'll find out soon, eh? We just got Pandora's Tower a couple weeks ago while Europe had it since April or so, right? So anything's possible. Sooner is better than later, though, and I'm hopeful they'll pop up soon. I'm holding out a foolish desire that Mike will jump into Smash Bros. thanks to the fan vote, and that this is a sign!

NOA is more business-oriented (or you can say prudent) than NOE and NCL. Of course, this also means they keep losing chances here and there. If they can make entire game systems late (see New 3DS), what can't they delay?
Not interested in Mii Fighters myself (actually, I've already given up on Smash because it isn't the only thing Nintendo publishes), but I'm interested in what you've made.
Actually, I don't play much Smash 4, myself. It just didn't grab me the way Melee and Brawl did. Yeah, it has more stuff, but it feels like less than the sum of its parts.
I also don't use the Mii Fighters much, but I created ones for Mike Jones and Nester. To be honest, I don't remember how I customized them. (I do remember being kinda fond of Nester, tho. ) I'll have to revisit (and maybe tweak) them, but I'll send Mike Jones along to you.

I've never received any Mii Fighters (or anything else) from friends either, so I'm not 100% sure, myself. I think you go to the online section, select "Share," then "View," then "Mii Fighters," and then set the Creator filter to "Friends," and do a search with the + button. ...Boy is that complicated.
nocturnal YL: Not doing an update right now; jury's still out for whether Three Hopes should replace the original FE Warriors and whether there'd be other changes.

Nester the Lark: My list could use some tweaking, too, but since it was entirely first-party games, I was considering making an entirely separate list of favorite third-party games.

nocturnal YL: Finished playing Atelier Ryza 2. The main story, anyway. Main takeaways: (1) BRSL really took a lot from it, from the summer theme to the 3+1 battle formation and certain plot points; (2) it's still not my kind of game, and it's too reliant on lore;

nocturnal YL: (3) item synthesis, gems (used for the rebuild, copy and essence systems) and shop upgrades all eat up lots of raw materials, which is quite annoying; (4) it's just as I expected: much better than Ryza 1, but still not great by Atelier standard.

nocturnal YL: There are a lot of game genres and elements that I said I wouldn't like, and my game library would say otherwise. At various points I thought I wouldn't like music games, town management, time travel story or even SRPGs. My top favs have all of these.

nocturnal YL: I was thinking about doing some kind of quiz game where we post questions asking each other how well do we know each other as gamers. After all, the regulars (especially Nester and I) have posted so much stuff here. I wonder if anyone is interested?

Nester the Lark: ^ Sounds interesting, but of course, I wouldn't expect there to be a lot of participation.

Shrikeswind: With Nester on that. Could be interesting, though participation would likely be low. Still, could be neat, and for people who aren't as regular, could be a good way to acquaint or reacquaint members.

nocturnal YL: I'll think about what to do with the quiz. I think I'll post mine in a few days. In the meanwhile, feel free to post yours (with your own rules) ahead of me if you feel like it.

Nester the Lark: So, if I understand, we think up trivia about ourselves as gamers that we can quiz other people on?
Aug 3, 2022 9:56:53 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Yeah, that's the general idea. I'm not decided on what type of questions / topics I'll have, though. Something like "Which level, outside of Secret Seclusion, have I not finished in DKC Tropical Freeze?" might be unfair since I never mentioned this before.
Aug 3, 2022 12:17:13 GMT -5
nocturnal YL: Something that people may know, but not stuff that we've directly mentioned would be great. Like "Which Metroid games have I beaten?" for me. Questions without searchable answers would be a good way to introduce new trivia, though.

Nester the Lark: I was thinking of things that I've mentioned on the forum but weren't necessarily well known. I suppose things I haven't explicitly mentioned might be more fun to try to guess.
