Awesome. I actually preferred DKC3 to DKC2. I preferred the music, the combination of the best gameplay elements from the first two games, and the very wacky characters and enemies.
Highly recommended if you liked the first two.

I liked the 2nd one more than the 3rd, but I liked the 3rd more than the first.
DKC3 is a great game though. Must have for anyone who enjoys good platformers

I like almost anything except from racers and would like a mix of NES, SNES and N64 games... Well you can't! An N64 game costs 1000 Wii points, and an NES game costs 500. SNES games cost 800. That means even if you got one of each, you would need 2300 Wii points. The best you can hope for is one N64 game and two NES games, or two N64 games. By now, the library is so massive, I can only suggest you pop on and take a look through the Wii Shop. There's so many games and I don't know what you've already played or your type of game. There's pretty much something for everyone on there now!

Heh, Fry summed up what I would reply pretty well. If you still want a recommendation, I'd go with Super Metroid and Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but only because I love those two games. Anyway...so far, DKC3 appears to be the only PAL VC title this week. I'll update if something else comes to pass.

Dang! Well thanks for the info guys - I haven't been able to check Wii Shop Channel for quite some time but I'll be sure to look later on.
I finished Metroid Prime 3 Corruption last week so I think Super Metroid will be on my short list thanks for that suggestion Wildcat. Although I dont think Ocarina is an option for me seems as I have got it for both N64 and GC (WW extra).
I havent played the original LoZ would you reccommend it? How are the controls for the VC anyways?

Ah, I wasn't aware if you had Z:OOT. I would recommend the original - it's not as deep as its sequels, but it's still an excellent game. As far as I know, games control just fine on the VC (the N64 ones are a bit awkward, but outside of that, they're fine).

With Classic Controller, N64 games are still a bit finicky. I'm hoping for the old N64 tripod to be revived for N64 games But I'd definitely recommend Super Metroid. It's the first of the "contemporary" Metroids.

North America gets Bubble Bobble (NES, Taito), Light Crusader (Genesis, Sega) and Top Hunter (Neo Geo, SNK) this week. Also, all regions now list Riot Zone (Duo, Hudson) as coming out in January.

Something bugs me about Bubble Bobble.
So, it started with Bubble Bobble, and there's a Bubble Bobble 2. But there's also a game called "Rainbow Island: The Story of Bubble Bobble II." Which one is the sequel?
Then, just to make things more confusing, there's "Parasol Stars: The Story of Bubble Bobble III" and "Bubble Memories: The Story of Bubble Bobble III." They both have the same subtitle! So, which one is the story of Bubble Bobble III? It's confusing, and it bugs me!
Just needed to get that off my chest.

Rainbow Island, I believe, is the true sequel to Bubble Bobble. I think. XD I like the original, though.

It's one of those very awkward spinoff dealies. Bubble Bobble was the most popular of the lot. Rainbow Island was the original sequel to it, but then they revived the mechanics of Bubble Bobble for Bubble Bobble II. So it's kind of how Mario and Donkey Kong split. Can you imagine if Mario Bros. had been called Mario Bros.: The Story of Donkey Kong III? Then Donkey Kong 3 came out and Super Mario Bros. hit the shelves... It happens a surprising amount in gaming. With hindsight it is very confusing, and I don't envy anyone creating a Bubble Bobble game series list like those on NinDB

Once again, PAL users only get 1 VC title (that really sucks...I don't know why Nintendo of Europe and Australia are yanking you guys around so much...), Harvest Moon (SNES, Natsume). Hopefully next week you'll get 3 again.

This isn't 100% confirmed yet, but StarTropics 1 is very likely going to be debuting on the Virtual Console this upcoming Monday, January 7, in North America. Time to rally the forces and have this hidden gem noticed!

Did StarTropics appear on some rating board's site or something?
