I don't have brawl but I have played it many times and i think it is better than ssbm because single player is better, there are more players and there is brawl stages, melee, and custom made stages you can play on more stuff in there makes it fun! What. The. Crap. 1337 haxxor skillz? Or did Fry lose the rest of his marbles? He wasn't banned, just...suspended...

Characters I am a bit "ehh" on the third party characters. Namely Snake since he !A)Doesn't fit in and B) doesn't have enough history with Nintendo. Overall though, the roster feels like an All-Star roster. Hopefully some of the characters who missed (Ridley and Geno) and some who were cut (Roy and Mewtwo) will come back in round 4.
Stages Love 'em. They are a lot more interesting then Melee's, and loads of new and interesting gimmicks. The problems are 1)Certain franchises needs more stages (Kirby and Gyromite) and 2)the Classic stages. Firstly they should have some more stages people want to play on (like not Yoshi Island and Green Greens), more music, and bring back stages from 64 we want to see.
Items, Assist Trophies, etc. Besides the lack of Parasol, I love them. The new ones are awesome, but the best ones seem to be those that were featured on the site.
Subspace Emissary As an addition, it's fun, but it couldn't be it's own stand alone title. Could use more level, more face time for certain characters, and make it more balanced. Why do regular Primids send me flying with any hit and can do 50% in a three hit combo while I can barely budge them with a Smash. Also, allow for SOME way to get lives in Intense mode. Score even.
General Gameplay/Game Modes Good, but the single player could use some revisions. Classic mode couyld feel less structured, similar to Melee's. Co-op events (while a nice addition) should give you something for beating all 21. The All-Stars needs to do something about random sudden deaths. And they need unique Break the Targets. The new ones are so generic. Not to mention Race to the Finish.
Trophies and Stickers Stickers were added in a nice way. Trophies are nice, but dont feel like "histroy" like they were in Melee. Would it kill them to add some Mother 3, Yoshi Island, Warioware characters, or Kid Icarus enemies too the mix. Not to mention models that are already in the game.
Overall, I love it, but I'm critical. There are defiantly areas to improve. Where Melee needed more stuff, Brawl needs to fix the elements it has. Both are not perfect but try.

I really don't get how Ridley would make it as a playable character.
He's already a boss, which is good and fitting enough.

Everything Melee does Brawl does better.... Well except for the trophies, but that's the only minor thing. And I'm one of the few who's very glad with Snake but not happy about Sonic. I guess because the Metal Gear games are awesome and Sonic's are garbage nowadays. They just plain suck. I really don't get how Ridley would make it as a playable character. He's already a boss, which is good and fitting enough. Yeah, because he's a boss he could have all those flashy moves that made for a really cool battle, better then if he was a playable character.

In Sonic's defense, his entire moveset is based around the older Sonic games, so to be displeased with him soley because all his newer games suck is kind of unfair.

Actually he'd be much more interesting if his attacks weren't just based on the old games. Seriously, B = roll in ball, B> = roll in ball, Bv = roll in ball. What the hell is that crap?

Not to mention Metroid deserves another rep. And I'm one of the few who's very glad with Snake but not happy about Sonic. I guess because the Metal Gear games are awesome and Sonic's are garbage nowadays. They just plain suck. I'm more the opposite. The Metal Gear games are overrated. The stories are just awful after the first. Not to mention that it's a game that prides itself on story. See, a bad one wouldn't matter, but when I have to watch long cut scenes, the story gets rather tiering. It just feels pretentious. Actually he'd be much more interesting if his attacks weren't just based on the old games. Seriously, B = roll in ball, B> = roll in ball, Bv = roll in ball. What the hell is that crap? Well, that's what he does in most of his game anyway. Even the newer ones. Well, maybe >B and VB beinging almost the same thing is a bit much. Sorry to be argumentative in this post.

B = Homing Attack, B> = Spin Dash, and Bv = Spin Charge. Only those last two are similar. The homing attack works completely different (and is much more bearable than the homing attack in all the 3D Sonics).

I am aware they do different things. I'm aware that is pretty much the only thing he's ever done. But when it comes right down to it, they're all Sonic rolling into a ball. And thats really boring. Make him fire rainbow nunchuks or something, I don't give a shit whether he ever did it in his games, just make it actually interesting to play as him (same goes for all other characters, I care for the gameplay, not being faithful to some other game series. I'm sure I'm probably alone in that, but whatever).

Yeah the old genesis SFX are a huge plus and everything, but it's just that all his new games are dissapointing and it actually made me dislike the franchise and Sonic himself quite a bit. And it's not nostalgia or anything either, first time I played the Genesis Sonic games was on Sonic Mega Collection after playing Adventure 1 and 2. They're just way better. Deep inside I just hope Sega once makes a Wiiware/Xbox Arcade game with Eggman Robotnik stealing chaos emeralds and Sonic & Tails run after him in creative zones and then beat him up. No dumbass story in some human city and dark REAL evil mastermind bullshit. Focus on the bloody gameplay. Then I will actually like him again. Bonus points if Sonic looks like this.[/stupid derail]

I'd like that too. Though Sonic Rush wasn't bad.

Sonic Rush was a victim of generally bad design desicions. Most 3D Sonic games are fueled by unique ideas, just bad execution. The fact that the newer Sonic Team doesn't seem to realize what set the older more successful Sonic games apart from other platformers of the day doesn't help.

Yes, but he's already been warned that as he's been suspended once, he's on a one-strike and you're out. Give the guy a chance, he's not been here for months. Funny how Savage Adam was the first to throw a wobbly about this... SA, you were mightily close to being suspended a few times yourself back when you first arrived

Sonic's two spin dashes make me think they represent old school and new school.
In the Sonic Adventure games, you didn't have to keep tapping the attack button while holding down or anything, just held and released. That's the Side B. Down B is the 2D styled one.
Seriously, only other move I coulda seen working would be a Sonic Battle special. Either ring retrieve (still spin), landmine, or the energy blast (spin). Spin Attack is his source of attack so it's gonna show up.
