Thanks for posting those. I read the first part a short time ago, but nice they're all up.
My view on the game so far is that this is very much a fan-service for 2D platformer aficionados - for the people who also bought Mega Man 9. The difficulty level is geared towards those who have played all of the other Wario Land games.
But the animation alone makes this a worthy purchase. It's incredible!!

Bump but got Wario Land from a friend today. Christmas, indeed. Now to go find a 360 tomorrow since I couldn't find one in the chaos of the Eve.
This is classic Nintendo. This is classic WARIO. I'm reminded why I love him so much- he was the first real change-up in Nintendo's heroes and general protagonists, and it shows just with the visuals. The cartoony way Wario pushes himself out of falling debris had me chuckling. He's a cartoon in a hand-drawn video game with wacky violence. That just appeals to me on so many levels.
