I came here expecting to find a topic about the newly announced Wario title, but much to my surprise, there isn't one. Let me be the one to introduce it to you. Wario Land Shake will be a 2d platformer like the other Wario Land titles, with some 3d sections mixed in. It will be controlled with the wii remote held horizontally and you can perform certain tasks by shaking. There will also be vehicles in the game. Most shocking of all: the game will be launched on july 24 in Japan! www.wiiz.fr/medias/soft/1/2843/1.jpg

Whoa! Looks like a DS game.
I don't like.
But I do like Wario...we'll see how this turns out.

Also the close release date I think is because of Nintendo's new strategy to annouce new games closer to their release dates.

Er, DS graphics? Hand-drawn sounds like it'll work. And even sprites can work if done well. The scans are very small or enlarged with bad quality, could look better than Disgaea sprites (very likely).
Anyways, it's Wario Land. It looks great, and no it's not WiiWare as the price is higher than a DS title in Japan. This is CLASSIC WARIO, I hope either the Wariomobile, the Wario Bike, or the Biker Outfit shows up (or all of them. The vehicles are likely with the vehicle option in-game). Great to see the Wario Land 3 salute returning thanks to Brawl... and the translation of the article says Wario's chasing stolen treasure... but the culprits are pirates.
....Could his archenemy be returning after 10 long years? Not getting my hopes up but me and a few Wario fanatics I know will literally explode if it happens.

Oh wow, a 2D game on a Console! Raditude! I like this game already. The use of the Wiimote seems decent too.Classic Wario game = me renting it the week it comes out. Glad they finally realized that their are fans of the Wario Land series out there.

I dunno. To me, consoles are for 3D-Epic adventures, while handhelds are for sidescrolling and everything else.
I guess the exception would be a game like Viewtiful Joe...

They are awesome and there is so much more you can do on a console then a handheld. It's my favorite genre and it never gets enough love. So hear hear for Wario returning to his roots and perhpas giving us an interesting Wii game.

Fun, but one of the shortest games I've ever played. 8 levels and getting 100% is really easy. 3/5, would have been higher if there were more levels.

Wario World was awesome, but over too quickly. I mean... after all... are you suggesting that Treasure is ACTUALLY CAPABLE of making a BAD game!?!? Watch your tongue!

Finally, a new Wario Land! Great news after the short Wario World and the not so good Master of Disguise. The game's logo reminds of that from Wario Land 4. I think this can only be a good omen. I love the WarioWare series very much, but it's sad that Wario platformers became so rare since Wario is a mini-game fanatic, though. ... and the translation of the article says Wario's chasing stolen treasure... but the culprits are pirates. ....Could his archenemy be returning after 10 long years? Not getting my hopes up but me and a few Wario fanatics I know will literally explode if it happens. Pi... pirates? Holy cow, if this means that Captain Syrup and the Black Sugar Pirates could return... wonders never cease.

Yeah, I've been waiting for that ever since realizing they've been dropped. Excellent character and rival to Wario, needs to return.

Maybe this'll pave the way for Mario, Yoshi and even Donkey Kong to get the same treatment. Just think... Wart and Tatanga back... a DK platformer that doesn't rely on a drum controller and actually has characters from the DK franchise instead of new ones.... ...I think I just drooled all over myself.
