Yeah, the pirates bit made me cream myself a little :3
Sorry to be graphic, but I have a serious gamer crush on Captain Syrup.

Left on the boxart has a familiar figure. Baggy pants, red hair that's very very lengthy, heels, and I see a bandanna. I'm screaming inside. Now for absolute confirmation.

I'm so excited! Wario Land is one of my favorite platforming series (second only to Mario). I'd love to get my hands on it and I don't care that it's not on a handheld.

Nintendo didn't forget her. ...that makes room for speculations what neglected villian from the Mario universe could return, too...

You guys are crazy. All I see is a blob. I've to admit that I also had problems to find Captain Syrup on the boxart after reading Dasher's comment. But I think it's true, here's a comparison to make it clear: At least it's some character. Who hopefully turns out to be Syrup.

The parachute pants and the auburn hair make it look a lot like Syrup. The bandanna looks more like a bow than anything else though. I hope it's her though!

More importantly, the games been classified for Australia under the name Wario Land: The Shake Dimension, and is apparently coming "not long after Brawl". Excellent. EDIT: Also its by GOOD-FEEL Inc.

Another game I want. Where am I going to get the money for all this. So this is who Captain Syrup is. I haven't played a Wario Land game probley, only here and there and it is pretty cool. I can't wait for this.

The purple I'm thinking might be because the "teal" now belongs to another "Princess": Rosalina. Still not positive that's the Syrup, though; it's so clearly a knockoff if it isn't.
Also, anybody else notice the boxart looks like the Wario Land manga?

I don't know what manga Flip is talking about, but here's another Wario Land manga, even with Captain Syrup on its cover (but the scan is very tiny): kikaim.s8.xrea.com/book/kcm/kcm3.htm#sml32Wouldn't wonder if there's more than one Wario Land manga. The Super Mario-Kun series also include issues based on Wario Land. Why does only Japan get them?
