I love the outlines of the Robot Masters. Seems Splash Woman is a mermaid. Who saw that one coming? Also, it's confirmed for XBLA and PSN. Oh well. There goes the Wii-Only Love *shrug* And you can bet your bumpus the Wii version does NOT get the good DLC. I am guaranteeing it right now.

I heart 8-bit music. My Life As A King also has extra downloadable content so I figure Capcom will do the same with the Wii version.

A Merperson is one of the few POPULAR humanoid creatures that are ALSO better known as females. Hence, the reasoning behind the Robot Master based on Merpeople being designed as Splash Woman. Capcom did give us Centaur Man in Mega Man 6, you know.

Im happy to see that they will provide us with oficial art of the Robot Masters ;D (after all those retro graphics I was afraid they will pull a MOTHER3 on us) Thats one of the things I always looked foward to see in a new Megaman.

As I said, it is Capcom, after all. Wish they'd make up their minds on what they're doing in terms of platforms. XD
I will watch this trailer when I get an opportunity. ^_^

Hence, the reasoning behind the Robot Master based on Merpeople being designed as Splash Woman. I'm certainly glad it wasn't "Socket Woman". I'm sorry. That was my dirty-minded comment for this year. (Teev, that's your cue!) Back on topic. I have slightly mixed feelings about this. I have to say, I love the idea of having a new NES game 15 years after the fact, and I wouldn't mind seeing more companies follow suit. On the other hand, the NES Mega Man games grew stale after no less than six games done in that exact style, so I wasn't exactly thrilled to see yet another one.

Yeah, but that's 6 games over the span of 6 years. This one is so far removed from the group.

^ My point was that by the end of 1993, Capcom had already beaten 8-bit Mega Man to death. Of all 8-bit series', you could make a case that reviving Mega Man was one of the least necessary. But after 15 years, even as a revival, Mega Man 9 had better have some fresh ideas. I think it will. Now, have you guys seen the box art? It doesn't get more retro than that.

How does a game that you download through an internet service have boxart?

Haha! Best boxart ever. I love the US boxart for the original Mega Man, simply because it's the most abstract and unrelated boxart I've ever seen.
