Look if Cho Aniki can get a US release, so could this game. Seeing that this game was released for VC this year in Europe and got a 7+ rating from PEGI gives me a bit of new hope (in Japan, it is suitable for "all ages", of course).

For those of you who don't mind spoilers; 1.Get a nico douga account (help here ) 2. Login 3. Click this. You should see a bunch of Captain★Rainbow gameplay videos from various uploaders (newest to oldest).

I think the characters we know of are the only ones in the game. I was watching some Nicovideo stuff and the save files for this game show icons for each character you've met/helped. There's really no other room for any new characters as far as the video shows. Soooo we at least got Takamaru and some other goodies, but that's it otherwise *shrug*

That's Hudson's official VC site, BTW, TVEye.

First Cho Aniki's not as bad as the later ones though. Plus homosexuality shouldn't garner censorship unless so extreme like the later ones.
Comparing humping a scarecrow and two characters rubbing their personal places and what is most likely a sex toy to two muscular gay guys fighting very strange foes... wow.

My copy's here! I'll post impressions later. (spoilers!) edit: I'm watching the cutscene where Mappo sees Birdo walking out of the ladies' room. ;D He called her "a pile of XY chromosomes". ;D edit2: I collected 20 Kirarin and initiated a 流星夜 (Night of the Falling Star). I ran with Birdo to the altar and chose to grant Nick's wish. Nick left the island and then it showed some stills (just like the ones from the intro) of Rainbow being popular again...and that's it. Game Over. The narrator (the unseen guy from the last character trailer) asks "Are you okay with that?" and it's back to the title screen. I checked out the Trash Can located at the Mimin Tomb (conveniently near the Altar). It said that once you discard a Star you can not retrieve it, and you have to collect Kirarin again if you want to grant someone's wish. Using/discarding the Star is the only way to end the Night of the Falling Star, unfortunately. I'll try granting Birdo's wish and see what happens. edit3: I granted Birdo's wish, she/he/it just said thanks and left the island. I think this affected Nick's Mimin Bracelet somehow. I tried throwing away the Star too. The Night ended...and that's that. I don't think I'll be granting the islanders' wishes, I want them to stay on the island as long as possible.

A few questions (I don't think you will be able to answer all of them though). So after you grant Nick/CR's wish do the credits appear? Does anything different happen to Nick/CR's ending if you have fulled more wishes/given the falling star to more characters? (and made them leave the island) I would think that Nick/CR would get slightly better ending(s) because of doing more good deeds.

So after you grant Nick/CR's wish do the credits appear? No, just some stills and it sent me back to the title screen. I guess so, but I wouldn't know yet. My last save was right before collecting the 20th Kirarin. Anyway, I feel it's too soon to start getting rid of people when I haven't interacted properly with them. I hope the Kirarin are infinite because I'll be throwing away a few Stars. Also, the game looks and sounds (Birdo's theme ;D) great. I think I'll be paying Takamaru and Tracy a visit today.
