That "Story Book Series" thing in the corner would make one think that they plan to make more Sonic games like this and Secret Rings... That and the fact that they already said they were going to. I'd think the next logical step after this would be either Greek or Japanese mythology.

I'd think the next logical step after this would be either Greek or Japanese mythology. If it's Greek, I'm predicting the name to be Kid Sonicarus. (I didn't think this pun would work so well, I'm surprised I got the whole word "Icarus" in the name!)

Well a good thing about having a story book series, it allows them to experiment with Sonic without interfering with the main Sonic games.

Because God knows it would be terrible if the main Sonic continuity was mucked about by some terrible Sonic game that--
... oh. Right. Carry on.

At this point, I either want the franchise to be terminated permanently or have Sonic 's universe go through a 'Crisis on Infinite Mobiuses' type deal just to wipe everything down.

...They actually haven't had anything story-wise that I haven't enjoyed (except Chronicles). It's just the gameplay that leaves me wanting. XD
What's the need for a reset, though? I don't see the logic behind it.

True, don't act like the series has been ruined because of a few bad games... that actually weren't THAT terrible.

No, they were. They were almost on the same level as licensed shovelware. Sonic Unleashed is just a step above that.

Why, Sega, WHY?!
Does this count as bestiality?

...and necrophilia. It may not be the exact cause, it sure is symbolic.

Does this count as bestiality? Not really... the series treats the big talking animals as other races of people, so, in that context, it's like a black person kissing a white person. OUTRAGE!! Why don't so many people get upset by Chikorita falling in love with Ash? I find that infinitely more creepy. D:

I think it's bestiality, that's why I absolutely hated '06, I can't believe people liked it.
And I don't think humans should have been in Sonic in the first place, except Robotnik.

SEGA quit their home console manufacturing business, now they might end up like Technos, Acclaim Entertainment and Data East. if they don't give the Sonic series a rest. If I knew a lot about producing and marketing games, then SEGA would probably allow me to save their business from becoming defunct. Otherwise, I would revive Sunsoft of America and add some Sunsoft games (including some Japan-only ones) to the Virtual Console, if Nintendo of America would let me.
SEGA should review their older games and see if they can create revolutionary versions of them, like how Retro Studios took the Metroid series from one genre to another. Howard Drossin should return to SEGA Technical Institute and create another Comix Zone, because I'm beginning to hear a lot about comics, nowadays. It would be nice if it played the vocal versions of the songs in the game. It would also be nice to see someone cosplay as Sketch Turner at the Comic-Con International.

Not really... the series treats the big talking animals as other races of people, so, in that context, it's like a black person kissing a white person. OUTRAGE!! ... did you just compare Sonic/Elise as being the same as an interracial couple? Because no, they're not remotely even the same. The "Black Race" and "White Race" are both the same species, only with different skin pigmentation. Elise is a human and Sonic is a hedgehog, an entirely different species. Of course I realize they hint at pairing an echidna with a bat and that is pretty terrible, but at least they have the small stature and ridiculous body dimensions in common, so it's not that weird. Elise is a human - and not just any human like Eggman. She's a highly detailed, realistic looking human. That's in love with a hedgehog. No. Just no.
