Not really... the series treats the big talking animals as other races of people, so, in that context, it's like a black person kissing a white person. OUTRAGE!! ... did you just compare Sonic/Elise as being the same as an interracial couple? Because no, they're not remotely even the same. The "Black Race" and "White Race" are both the same species, only with different skin pigmentation. Elise is a human and Sonic is a hedgehog, an entirely different species. Of course I realize they hint at pairing an echidna with a bat and that is pretty terrible, but at least they have the small stature and ridiculous body dimensions in common, so it's not that weird. Elise is a human - and not just any human like Eggman. She's a highly detailed, realistic looking human. That's in love with a hedgehog. No. Just no. I'm talking about within the Sonic universe. Because they refer to the various species as races, not species. I'm not saying it's good, or that it didn't weird me out. I'm saying that, within the structure of the Sonic the Hedgehog universe, it isn't considered bestiality. Which is why Sonic Team were so baffled when people started accusing them of promoting it - they see Sonic as a person, not an animal. |

SEGA quit their home console manufacturing business, now they might end up like Technos, Acclaim Entertainment and Data East. if they don't give the Sonic series a rest. If I knew a lot about producing and marketing games, then SEGA would probably allow me to save their business from becoming defunct. Otherwise, I would revive Sunsoft of America and add some Sunsoft games (including some Japan-only ones) to the Virtual Console, if Nintendo of America would let me. SEGA should review their older games and see if they can create revolutionary versions of them, like how Retro Studios took the Metroid series from one genre to another. Howard Drossin should return to SEGA Technical Institute and create another Comix Zone, because I'm beginning to hear a lot about comics, nowadays. It would be nice if it played the vocal versions of the songs in the game. It would also be nice to see someone cosplay as Sketch Turner at the Comic-Con International. Well, SEGA is publishing 4 titles from Platinum games (Madworld, Infinite Space, Bayonetta and an unknown title) and The Conduit and House of the Dead Overkill (developed by Kuju, the same team that made Battalion Wars 1&2). |

The problem is people keep thinking about sex instead of love. Their two different things and beastiality only applies to one.
The thing that bothered me in Sonic 06's story was the terrible acting, the overdramatic tones, and the way too serious... everything! Other than that the story was okay, if not a little complex even for Sonic.
But I agree with Kirbychu, Sonic and all the others are not looked as animals, but as races. I'm sure if we lived in a world full of humaniod animals all capable of human emotion and human love, there defintely would be inter-whatever pairing. Because we don't live in such a world, we live in a world where love can only be achieved by another human being, we see Sonic and Elise as strange and disgusting. Much like people used to see gay or interracial relationships.

Well, after I learned about the Japanese who want to marry manga characters, I don't wonder about anything anymore - and I read that this even one of the more harmless cases.  I wonder if alix knows that Vivian (Paper Mario 2) is a transgender? |
