Teev! You didn't know the name to Dedede's theme back then! =O
The songs I wanted vary but here goes. I'll be editing this all day with more tracks, I'm caught in other things though.
Mario-Keeping Pace (Paper Mario) (General Guy battle)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZdHxb3lX8sStage: Delfino Plaza (Why do you think?
)
Why: It's an amazing battle tune, and I want to dance everytime I fight General Guy because of it.
-Dire, Dire Docks (Super Mario 64) (Water themed worlds)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=uqcPSbkS9TQ&featureStage: Delfino Plaza
Why: Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
Fire Emblem-Finish the Fight (Fire Emblem Dragon&Sword)(Goes Under "A Knight's Oath" in Blazing Sword and "Vow" in Path of Radiance, generally plays with loyal knights or old allies found again, or in the first game when you're finishing the fight)
Link:
www.feplanet.net/media/music/player_single.php?id=1699&game=&disc= (New Dragon&Sword version)
www.youtube.com/watch?v=AIgfilrpU6s (Blazing Sword version)
www.feplanet.net/media/music/player_single.php?id=744&game=&disc= (Path of Radiance version)
Stage: Castle Siege
Why: It's a repeating theme that strikes the feeling of loyalty and knighthood every time it plays.
-A Messenger (Fire Emblem Path of Radiance) (Plays at Mainal Cathedral in Begnion)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=PzMGWgrL_xYStage: Castle Siege
Why: Gorgeous music that is one of the best tunes in Path of Radiance. It'd be wonderful to hear as part of the all-star game.
Congregation of Ambition (Path of Radiance)(Return to Crimea, final areas)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=J2XBIKviOBk&featureStage: Castle Siege
Why: Empowering music that fits with the collapse of the stage.
F-Zero-Crazy Call At Cry (F-Zero X) (Port Town)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=59ZDDoA0NdQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=KReRO15-mgw&feature (Guitar Arrangement)
Stage: Port Town
Why: It's awesome and we need a Port Town song.
-ZEN (F-Zero GX) (Aeropolis)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJSklc4NHgQStage: Port Town
Why: Fast paced stage and music that would fit the stage, which the other GX songs don't do.
-Infinite Blue (F-Zero GX) (Big Blue)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWwxvtYMLLA&featureStage: BIG BLUE
Why: Cause it fits and that shoulda been the way for many songs (The Amazing Mirror song for Green Greens, Humoresque of a Little Dog for Onett, etc)
-Red Canyon (F-Zero) (Red Canyon, it's what Mute City is for Falcon for Goroh)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VLtMsbfsik&featurewww.youtube.com/watch?v=ls1xkzPG39I&feature (GX version)
Why: IT'S GOROH'S MUTE CITY
Metroid-Theme of Samus, Galactic Warrior (Super Metroid) (Crateria theme)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3RiF2r3vTYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=YBeqr40mW6w&feature (Orchestrated)
Stage: Norfair
Why: Not everybody likes this theme, some think it kills the atmosphere, but I think it fits with Samus' ship being in the center of a hopeless run-down location, giving some hope...
-Rundas (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Flint already suggested this but yeah) (Fighting a corrupted Rundas)
Link: Flint has it up there.
Stage: Frigate Orpheon
Why: It's a beautiful piece representing Samus' reluctance to murder a fellow bounty hunter losing his mind. One that she owes a few due to saving her life twice, and this could be considered her paying him back.
-Title (Metroid Prime 2: Echoes) (Metroid Prime 3: Corruption) (Title)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1y8bq_2X2gwww.youtube.com/watch?v=oLOkc9MwFHsStage: Frigate Orpheon
Why: I love every title screen music to Metroid games. The Prime ones especially. Corruption's perfectly sums up how the Phazon problem's coming to an end, and not without sacrifices and destruction. As for Echoes, it's the fitting theme for Metroid, and being on an alien planet split into two, which I feel fits with the eerie Metroid style music and the electric rock-like feel mixed in.
-SR388 (Metroid II: Return of Samus) (The Theme of Samus for this game)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBR7c-uYVhgStage: Norfair or Brinstar
Why: Metroid II deserves a little respect in Smash, no?
Metal GearMain Theme (MGS2: Sons of Liberty) (Opening Credits before the title)
Link: Flint has it up there.
Stage: Shadow Moses Island
Why: It's a series staple... or was until controversy with how similar it is to a Russian piece was revealed. Now it can't be used but... imagine if it was in! There's a version for MGS that's great too, but we all know the one done by Mr. Gregson-Williams.
The Best is Yet to Come (MGS) (Heard many times throughout the game, in Twin Snakes is played shortly in the pre-title opening, is played fully in the credits of both versions on your first two playthroughs)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7eQt1hO1f0Stage: Shadow Moses Island
Why: It's GORGEOUS. Absolutely gorgeous, a Celtic tune sung by a young Irish woman, that was originally played to clips of Alaskan wildlife doing what the theme of the game was: living. I'm shocked this wasn't in Smash. It's one of the most beautiful pieces in a game.
Escape from the Fortress (MGS3: Snake Eater) (Plays when you're escaping from the collapsing Grozynj Grad and from the active Shagohod, and of course, Ocelot)
Link:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TEoK7CF1Dw&feature=relatedStage: Shadow Moses Island
Why: Cause it's exciting! It fits the mood! My heart was ready to explode at this point! EVA's driving made the whole moment feel like a ride at an amusement park or an on-rail shooting racer at the arcade. This is my favorite track from MGS3, hands down.
