So, it looks like Nintendo will be having another press conference this year. KotakuIf you didn't know, they did one last year (where Sonic was shown in Brawl, alone with some new titles like Fire Emblem DS and Sluggers). Talk seems to be of a new product so we'll see. Also, NoA will be doing something similar. GoNintendo

Super Mario Universe and Mother 4(Wii) for the jpn conference. Zelda Wii and Phantom Hourglass 2 for the american one. Rumbling N64 type controller for the Virtual Console N64 games. Kirby Wii with Motion+ playable, StarFox Wii hits the shelves next week. Captain★Rainbow released in both NA and Europe in time for Christmas. New portable console capable of running the original Wind Waker engine. HD capable Wii successor by Xmas 2010. Game Boy titles on Virtual Console. Link's Awakening is among the first 100 titles to be released on Day 1. Ultra Paper Mario with hand-drawn Wario Land Shake style graphics. Friend Codes abolished.
Anything less and I'll be extremely disappointed.

Stuff that's more likely to happen.D:DoC US release date and if the game sells really, really quickly/well in Japan they will probably mention those numbers as well. Pokemon Platinum realease date in NA as well (with Japan sales figures). Stuff I hope will happen but may be unlikely.Nintendo of America reads this great article called "Five easy ways Nintendo of America can start making up with their core audience" and does at least options #3, #4 and #5. Kid Icarus Wii, Punch-Out! Wii and Kirby Wii getting announced (but the last one is pretty unlikely).

I've been taking a good long look at the game lists on NinDB lately, and that list makes a good point about getting more Western developers on board. Take a look at the N64 - Rare was one of Nintendo's core developers, producing loads of games that pushed the envelope in a way that many recent games still fail to live up to. They took on Retro who brought Metroid Prime to us, but they were appointed before the Gamecube's release. But look again at Gamecube - nearly everything on the release list comes from Japan. The Wii is looking much the same. But look at the NES and SNES - as well as games developed internally for the Western audience, you also find a lot of licensed titles. And I've said it before - comparing the choice and overall quality, I am still surprised that the superior libraries of the N64 and Gamecube suffered in sales, while the Wii is hugely successful with a general lower quality of game. But then I guess Wii Sports is magic or something

Realistically what's gonna happen
Mario Party 9 will be announced. *sigh*
Stuff I hope will happen but may be unlikely.
Nintendo showing off Donkey Kong game that's more like the Rare games rather than Jungle Beat.
New Star Fox and F-Zero games revealed
Mother 1&2 being announced for release on DS (on the same cart)

But then I guess Wii Sports is magic or something Quality of games does make a system sell better (sadly). Most consumers wont care what score IGN or Gamespot gave it, but if the game is something they want (or think they want) to play. So it's typically better to have either a large library, or a game people really want to play (like Wii Sports or Grand Theft Auto). The Wii is shaping up. It's defiantly a late bloomer, but I think it's going to do pretty well in the end. Not to mention this system's life span may be 7 years long (on the market without another system). Also, I will be sadden if they announce a Mario Party. I kind of want the franchise to stop and maybe come back with something interesting. At least make us wait a while.

Yes I rather one Mario Party for each system. Have Hudson take their time and make Mario Party perfect for each gen.

I bet Hudson are the ones who want to pump up a Mario Party every year, just look how frequently they release Bomberman games.

What I want (Which means it's what won't happen) -F-Zero -Kid Icarus -KIRBY -Fire Emblem DS release date for other countries -Pikmin 3 -Punch-Out!! Wii -Captain Rainbow
What's going to happen -Wii Music -Animal Crossing City Folk, Wario Land Shake It!, and Kirby Super Star Ultra delayed. -Wii Sports Resort -Reggie mentions a legendary IP but reveals it's simply the bunnies that took over the Rayman series and made it an abomination. -Wii Annoy is announced.

Alright, let's say... I hope to see some confirmation of Kirby. SERIOUSLY. And Wii is lacking a whole whopping ton of stuff! F-Zero, Star Fox, a second Zelda, a nineth Mario Party, to name a few. I am also hoping for DS that we'll see some F-Zero. And overseas releases for FE1 remake and Captain rainbow! COME ON! I'm with you.

I guess I'll make my predictions - There will be fewer games shown this year then last-Nintendo is pretty gung ho about this "games are only shown a month in advance". Last year we were treated to Kirby Super Star Ultra, Mario Super Sluggers, and Fire Emblem DS to name a few. Problem is that all htese games came out on the latter end of this year. I suspect that all the gamnes will be between Jan and May of 09.
- There will be nothing on Animal Crossing: City Folk and Wii Music-Much like Galaxy last year, I beleive these games will be ignored becuase they will be released VERY soon. However, they may be on display.
- There will be something on Wii Sports Resort-Much like Mario Kart and Wii Music before it, I think this game is going to get some face time. Namely in that they'll show off a few more games.
- There will be a storage solution announced-Nintendo has hinted a lot on the fact they are making one, and I think this is when they are going to show it off for the first time. They will probably give a release window
- -Pikmin 3 will be shown-This, I beleive, is the reason Miyamoto could let the cat out of the bag so early. With a long span from the last one, the Pikmin team will probably have a game ready by early next year. I'd expect March-April
- -A least one new DS game-The DS is high and dry for 09 (like most of Nintendo's line up). So there will probably be one for early 09 (Jan-Feb). What, is unkown. Metroid or Mario are the only guess I have without going into "Games you'd only expect from Nintendo" realm
- -Something on Wiiware-Simply put, there will be something on Wiiware. Nintendo may just show a game, but probably not a whole lot
- A teaser for the next Zelda is shown-When I said that all the games were no farther then May, I lied. I have a good hunch that Nintendo will break this rule to show us their next Zelda, most likely for the Wii. With a game like this, Nintendo will probably try to generate some hype. Of course, there isn't going to much at all. A trail and that's about it.
