A little too dark? Are you suggesting that his tanned skin is somehow ruining the character? RACIST ALERT! BURN THE RACIST!!! ;D Seriously though, in the Punch-Out!! standalone trailer, he looks great. He's a bright-eyed youngster from New York. I look at him and I can see that character well-portrayed. He looks like every attempt to draw him I've ever done. The darker skin is a little odd for me. In some ways, I want it too be exactly like the old Little Mac which means pale skin. Of course, this one works. You are right in that he seems like the scrapper from the Bronx. This isn't bad, just not old school Little Mac.

Definitely, definitely. I don't like Mac's new look much, but it's probably not very close to being done anyways. We'll see. I dig the remix they use in the trailer, though. Also, think this will use the 1:1 Wiimote? Eh, it's not too bad. I just mind that he looks a little too dark. Otherwise, it's ok. EDIT:The facial expressions are the characters are great! Actually, it might be misinterperated if it is a white guy beating up on ethnic stereotypes like Piston Honda, Great Tiger, King Hippo, and Bob Charlie. Thusly, they made Little Mac Latino to stave off possible accusation of racism.

www.smashbros.com/en_us/items/assist/assist10.htmlHinting at Mac and the P-O redo? Probably not, but it's interesting to think about Sakurai being told to include this character, y'know? He mentions "reviving for the current generation," so... *shrug*

It has just been confirmed that Next Level Games (the same team that made Super Mario Strikers and Super Mario Strikers Charged) are making Punch Out.

Every time I see the NES Punch-Out!! games, I always think of this below. The Punch-Out!! series and the TMNT series have a few things in common: - Their first versions didn't catch much attention, because they were some kinds of things that many children weren't interested in. The Punch-Out!! series started out in the arcades, but many children would rather play video games at home than sorting quarters in the arcades. Also, the Punch-Out!! arcades were released in the middle of the North American Video Game Crash of 1983. TMNT started as a comic series, which many children weren't very good readers back then and thought that animations were a lot more interesting than comics.
- In 1987, around the same time, when the Punch-Out!! series got into NES business, while the TMNT series got into animation business for their first time, they were quite different compared to their predecessors. Today, when many people think of the Punch-Out!! series and the TMNT series, they'll always think of the first home console and animations of the series from 1987.
- When the SNES Super Punch-Out!! came out, many people were like "Where's King Hippo, Doc Louis and Little Mac? Why did you change Piston Honda to Piston Hurricane?". And when the 2003 TMNT came out, many people were like "Where's Bebop, Rock Steady and Krang? Why did you change Baxtar the Fly to Baxtar the African-American scientist?" The SNES Super Punch-Out!!'s gameplay was based on the arcade versions, while the 2003 TMNT was based on the earliest TMNT comics. Piston Hurricane was the original "Piston" boxer, while the African-American Baxtar Stockman was the original Baxtar.
I prefer the SNES Super Punch-Out!! and the 2003 TMNT series. This is also making me think that many fans are dreaming of creating a well-drawn animation showing Little Mac, Little Ippo and Rocky Balboa joining their fists together and bringing a magically-powerful uppercut up to a gigantic, monster version of Mike Tyson with razor-sharp vampire teeth, planning to bite the crap out of Mac, Ippo and Rocky. At the same time, the background music would probably be a remix of Eye of the Tiger and the Kill Bill theme.

The TMNT comics were never geared towards children Parrot. They were an over-the-top spoof of all the "dark and edgy" comics that littered the 80s. When the creators sold the rights to the animation studio, they opted to take it in a different direction.
Like about a million other things from 1987?
I think you're grasping at straws with this one. That happens with a A LOT of revivals from ye olden dayes.
That explains your rabid fandom over "Blond Guy".
...are you baked?

Join the Nintendo Fun Club today!
Well from the looks of the video the game seems to have the spirit of the NES classic, and the fact it's being developed by Next level Games assures me it's going to be good.
And as for you parrothead1983, interesting correlation you got there...
