The change in play style is a superficial change, like the difference between playing Duck Hunt on the NES and playing it on my computer. That's my point.

Jungle Beat better register Gamecube bongos. It would be completely stupid not to celebrate the people who still have those infernal things sitting in their basements, rotting. btw, weren't all VC games supposed to receive upgrades? *rolls eyes* Sadly I can confirm that it does not have DK Bongo, Classic or even GCN Controller support. This preview of the game from IGN doesn't give much hope for the controls, saying "some part of the game just aren't as intense as they were in the original and the control scheme is "not great but passable." In terms of DK Bongo support for Nintendo Wii games, Nintendo (of Europe at least) does not like the idea of . . . "alienating new users who do not have them."Also in terms of VC upgrades, Nintendo's intention is to have the old games in their "original glory without any gameplay upgrades."

Even if the games "in their original glory" different between regions? I'd take Metroid with save files over Metroid with an obnoxious password system on any day of the week.

So they'll alienate the people that do? That's nice. XD

The Wii is built on the concept of alienating people controls wise. Don't have a nunchuk? Sucks to be you. Classic / GCN controller support? Alienates some people. Balance board? That too.

Hmm? What's this pale Pikmin thing? I don't remember that. The Pikmin turn pale when you leave them alone.

Yes, they've always done that. It's actually really annoying, as it makes them hard to see when you have a single straggler.
I actually had fun hunting for my that last, lost Pikmin as day drew to a close. Getting back to the ship just in time for the timer ;D

I always like to call those escapades "Saving Private Pikmin".

Isn't there also a plant in the game that turns your Pikmin dark and zombified?

That mushroom thing? I never got far enough to see that. ...Really didn't like Pikmin 1.

Yeah I barely remember Pikmin 1 because Pikmin 2 seems to cloud over it for me.
