Indeed that's the mentality. The fact that very few people had these games, means more people are willing to purchase these "new" games.
I'm going to get Prime, simply because I lost my Gamecube one in an accident.

The sad irony about this situation is that if this WASN'T happening people would complain about Nintendo not releasing any Wii games in this time period and for trying to put GCN games slighlty enhanched on the Wii.
I happy with what Nintendo is doing, some of these titles sold more than enough (MP1/2 sold more than a million) but it also gives titles like "unique" games like Chibi Robo a second shot as well.

Well it appears that NPC MP1 will have a "lite" version of the tokens found in MP3:C, hard mode is avavlible from the start, the Fusion suit is an unlockable, there is a sound test feature but there is no sign of the original NES metroid in the game which isn't surprising considering the VC (and the remake MZM). Source.

Why do people say that the New Play Control games are $50? They are $30. The games are essentially Nintendo's attempt at a budget line like Sega Ages and the Simple Series, but only less crappy.

I'm not sure which NPC game to get, or if I should even get one. I already have Chibi-Robo for the GameCube so I'm not getting that, but maybe Pikmin since I missed that one. I don't get any sports Mario games besides Mario Kart, especially Power Tennis since Wii Sports Tennis is enough for me at the moment.

Grnn...
I hate to admit it, I really do...but I just played Metroid Prime and the controls are really restricting.

Because I live in Orrrstraya. Where they are 50 dollaridoos. As opposed to the full price games at 100 dollaridoos.

Hey, at least you PAL guys actually get new games. Nintendo of America seems to not want to bring the good stuff over here.

I don't think that's going to work, SAM. You also have to keep in mind that the Australianians also have to wait some obscene amount of time before most software reaches their shores, as compared to Japan and the US.

Anyone else find the New Play Control series to be a good idea?
Seeing as the GC didn't fare well enough, but the Wii's going strong, this should definitely help these great titles out. The GameCube did have many impressive games, after all.

I'd be very happy if they reworked things a bit more like they did with Jungle Beat. But that seems like the only game where they added new things.

Here's a good article talking about the new additions in DK:JB NPC compared to the original GCN version.

Here's a good article talking about the new additions in DK:JB NPC compared to the original GCN version. Now if only they'd remove Hoofer and Orca and replace them with Rambi and Enguarde, this game would be perfect. As it is, I'm tempted to buy this, but I'll wait and see if it gets good reviews before I do.
