It doesn't really bear arguing since the plot of SSE clearly shows us that it takes place in a parallel world populated by trophies, which means they aren't even the same characters as the ones from their respective games.

And that's different from what happened in SSE... how? Even Ganondorf joined the heroes to stop Tabuu, I don't see why Wolf wouldn't. I wasn't saying it was different, but there is a difference still: No one knew Tabuu existed until the end. If Wolf didn't know about Tabuu, only that the Master Hand was paying him, he may be convinced to pull up a Dark Cannon until it's proven to him that this is detrimental to his own existance. On another note, I interpreted Ganondorf's anger as him feeling like he'd been smackeldorfed, which would be a viable reason to go against Tabuu, hence he didn't put up much of a fight when Link and Zelda brought him to, while you actually fought Bowser and saw Wario attack Dedede, neither of them were aware they had been bamboozled yet. And yes, I managed to use a word I heard on Spongebob in serious conversation. Should I alone be worried, or should we all?

At this point, my head hurts. I can't actually remember what had happened to Ganondorf before he switched sides. Bowser's just thick-headed and stubborn, and didn't Wario pretty much just get in a cheap shot revenge attack before switching sides of his own accord? I'm not arguing with what you said, just trying to arrange my memories of it in order. It's been a while.

I can explain, I went through another playthrough to this point recently with a friend.
Basically, Ganondorf shot Bowser with the Dark Cannon then approached Master Hand. Tabuu showed himself and Ganondorf got pissed, jumped for what I assume was a Flame Choke, and got his butt kicked and knocked down onto Master Hand, which broke him free from the Chains of Light. Hand went around to kill Tabuu himself, also a failed attempt. If you save Link and Zelda, they save Ganondorf in a cutscene and he expresses shock, but joins them without a hitch and with no apparent desire to kill them.
As for Bowser, having been taken out before Tabuu showed himself, he wouldn't have known what had happened. Basically, whatever it was that Dedede told him, he'd have to take as gospel, because he had nothing else to go on.
Since Wario's last non-Subspace appearance was his attack on Lucas and the Trainer (who only had Squirtle at that time) and first Subspace appearance was Great Maze, he'd have no idea what had happened in the interim. He may have been doing it of his own accord, I really can't tell, because between Wario's unpredictability and the lack of verbal communication, either way's possible.
Taoists are right, the more you explain something the more confusing it gets.

Simply put: The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
When you're up against a foe you can't take alone, you have no choice but to team up. That's what Ganondorf did. He decided to join the other heroes when he realized everyone needs to pull together on this one.

Yup. As Brawl says...
"Socii sunt mihi, qui olim viri fortes rivalesque erant," or "Now my friends are with me, some of them were once heroes, some my mortal enemies."
A quote for every moment. Except not really.

Toon Link and TP Link are two completely different Links. They are the two main Links with noticeable personalities in the games themselves (no manga or manual to assist that). They would have worked fine together. What a shame TL couldn't be in the plot, my favorite Zelda character alongside Tingle.

The really funny thing being that they both occupy the same space chronologically, just in two seperate timelines. Or at least that's the gist I got from the current understanding of how Zelda works. So they're kinda maybe sorta not really the same Link, once removed?

Link and Toon Link teaming up would have been funny, but not as exciting as that group of 5 heroes that give chase to King Dedede after the events at The Lake Shore.
