Echidnas and Platypus's lay eggs, and they be mammals. Just so you know. True, I don't think its entirely impossible for it to happen. Look at Chansey. She looks mammalian and she's all about eggs. Anyway here's a list of unused Pokemon species I think would be nice. I'm sure you guys had mentioned some of these before: Flamingo Hummingbird Moose (maybe Stantler evo) Polar Bear Koala Ant (maybe a fire ant like mentioned before) Ant Eater! Zebra (Normal Dark?) Centipede Mosquito Tick (perhaps the tick could evolve into the Mosquito) Dung Beetle (ew maybe it can roll something else) Anemone Non-Animals: Candle Pumpkin/ Jack-o-Lantern Knight Oni (Japanese ogre) Evolutions: Qwilfish Dunsparce Shuckle Stantler Delibird Corsola Weepinbell Alt (why does Gloom have one and not Weepinbell?) Electrode (why does Megneton have one and not Electrode?) Pinsir Heracross Machop Alt (into a female looking one like Kirlia into a male looking one) Pre-Evolutions: Lapras Delibird Corsola Snubull (Marill got one why not Snubull?) Skarmory Smeargle Miltank/ Tauros (can evolve into either or depending on gender) Volbeat/ Illumise (can evolve into either or depending on circumstances) Sableye Mawile Torkoal

According to Bulbapedia, Electabuzz is likely based on an oni.

Bunch of new Myth based Pokemon sounds good to me. Something like a Manticore or a Karakasa. Or maybe an lil' Fire type Imp. Either way the next gen needs to introduce more Fire monsters to make up for the huge amount of Grass and Water Pokemon.

On that same note, a detached Cloyster from Slowbro!
I had a few other ideas for Pokemon. Impish/Devilish-Fire/Dark- The former is a little imp, the latter a cartoony devil. They are unique to one of the two games.
Angel two-step- the Oppostite Game Exclusive in the Seviper/ Zangoonse tradition. Don't know anything else that would work for it though. =/
An odd fish thing with legs. It evolves into one of two fossil Pokemon. Not sure what dinosaurs haven't been used yet, but a Rock/Flying type raptor would be cool.
A third Fossil Pokemon based on a Megalodon.
And Koopaul gave me the idea for a Corsola evolution. You'd have to have 2 fainted Corsolas in your party. there'd be an NPC to talk to, and he'd fuse your Corsolas into a reef-type Pokemon.

One for each version of the game, and if you were to mate them, a hybrid humantype Pokemon would be hatched.

Just to add more ideas, they could be based on the cartoony depiction of good and bad consciences Both part Psychic-type if so? Maybe Psychic/Dark for the bad one.

If Light were to be made into a type, that'd make it easier. Though I'd probably see them as Ghost types moreso than Psychic, but it could go either way.

Maybe the demon = Fire / Dark and the angel = Psychic / Flying.
Also, names for those angels? How about Cheriel and Seriel ("Cher" as in "Cherub, "Ser" as in "Seraph," -iel as a common suffix for angel names.) Cheriel would look like a baby, Seriel like a stereotypical angel.
Idea, I have. Psychic / Fighting, it is. Aura, it uses. 3 feet of green, it is. Like somebody, does it sound?

Yoda, that must be! Yes, good idea, as long as it's made differently enough from Lucario. You're more than correct in saying that Aura resembles the Force.

He'd be done WAY different than Lucario. Though some Lucario moves (like Force Palm) would be on his moveset, he'd be more about defense than Lucario, as a Jedi should. He'd be built on Speed, Special Defense, and Special Attack, but he'd be much greater in the defense department.

I got an idea for a Fighting legendary. Make it Fighting/Dragon and base it off Bruce Lee! ;D

Shrike, that was pretty much the idea I had for the angels, but couldn't think of a name for them!
And that's it, I'm out of ideas...

An odd fish thing with legs. It evolves into one of two fossil Pokemon. Not sure what dinosaurs haven't been used yet, but a Rock/Flying type raptor would be cool. Based on the amphibious nature of the legged fish idea you just had, I'd expect the raptor to be a different line. It'd likely evolve into early amphibians like Diplocaulus (a sort-of hammer-headed salamander) or Platyhystrix (a sail-backed over-grown newt with a fin on its back, like the reptilian Dimetrodon.)

Hm... Those are great ideas, but the dinosaurs aren't well known enough. The Platyhstrix might work, given that every kid has seen one in some two bit edutainment film. The Diplocaulus is an interesting idea, but I dunno.
Given that all six main Fossil Pokemon have had two-step evolutions, could these evolve into a more well known Dinosaur?
Oh, if anyone didn't get by what I said about the raptor's type, Raptors are accepted now to have had feathers. Ergo, a flying type. Yeah, I know they didn't actually fly, but this is Pokemon!~
