So, Iwata's Keynote is over, here's what was announced:
Rock 'N Roll Climber is a WiiWare title, and it's about rock climbing. You use the Wii remote and Nunchuk to control a rock climber's two hands and the Wii Balance board to position his feet.
VC Storage solution is available, if you download the latest Wii System Update, you can now play VC and WiiWare games directly off an SD Card. You can also download games directly to an SD card. Not only that, you can now use SD cards up to 32GB. This was actually discovered before the keynote started.
Square Enix is bringing My Life As a Darklord and Final Fantasy IV: The After Years both to WiiWare, both in 2009. They’re also bringing Final Fantasy to the Virtual Console.
New category to the Virtual Console called VC Arcade added, and it's up today. This was also discovered before it was mentioned in the keynote. Space Invaders is coming soon.
New DS Zelda game announced, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. It’ll be available later this year. Apparently Wind Waker style Link was shown riding on a train. Link is able to direct a sidekick character, an armor-clad warrior, with the stylus.
Super Punch-Out!! coming to US VC on Monday.

While I think the concept of a train is better suited to other series, this game looks great. Didn't get PH, will get this. Gotta support my Wind Waker and Toon Link love more.
FINA FANTASY IV THE AFTER. Just have to explode over that again.
VC Final Fantasies don't interest me since I have most of the first six already. Might get VI because I lost my ROM file, but there's also the Advance version with a much more accurate and less stupid translation. I seriously wish they'd put VII or VIII on there though, so I could play those.
Rock n Roll Climber is... completely unrelated to Ice Climber I guess?

Dasher, you never played Phantom Hourglass? It was so good! I'm looking forward to this new one as well. Looks like some Twilight Princess items also appear (Was that the Dominion Rod and Gale Boomerang I saw?).

Unsurprisingly "meh" all around. XD Nothing huge, Nintendo? Yikes.
I might be more excited for Zelda on the Choo-Choo if Phantom Hourglass had been an enjoyable experience. I didn't really care for it though, felt par and nothing else - so Zelda Rides Blaine the Train doesn't get my video game boner a-ragin'.
I dunno, good to see the storage solution abated for the time being. I won't say it's been solved because using the SD card as a playable fall-back feels like an awfully short-term solution, especially given that they only hold so much space. Thing is though it's a day late and a dollar short so far as I'm concerned. I don't get many Wii, VC or WiiWare games anymore. Sorry, Big N - maybe you'll deliver the goods next time, but for now, you get the FAIL stamp.

They still lack any super stellar blockbuster titles. This is indeed good news for hardcore gamers and fanboys, but... what else?
Also, I'm so excited to FINALLY have access to all my VC content for once in my miserable Wii's lifespan. Very excited.
...one other thing: FFIV The After and the prospect of owning the original FF games make me very, very wet. I have FFIVDS, but I'm excited to get pick up VI for cheap as well as, crossing my fingers, FFV. I was all jealous of the Live Arcade circa this weekend, but then I went back and actually played some VC games and examined what they had and it really is a far superior set up. I'm loving it right now.
..... ....
... I totally avoided Phantom for a good reason. Let's see if Spirit isn't as shit.

Huh,. so that DS VC rumor was just that? Kinda makes me sad.
VC Arcade is a good idea. Not to long ago I was wondering where the arcade games were on the VC. (This assuming it's essentially MAME and not something else)
The Zelda game looks good. And the FF news is cool.

I'm glad of the VC Arcade. I'll have to expand the VC/Wiiware lists for that.
When I have more time, I'll detail my thoughts for the other revelations a bit more.

You forgot to mention the fact that when you reach the top of the mountain you get to pick up a guitar and rock out.No, I'm not kidding. Here's two different sources to prove it. Source 1.Source 2.EDIT: Gameplay footage!

Considering this is supposed to be the game developers conference and not some big announcement-fest what we have here is rather good methinks. Of course if we get like this amount of information again at E3 I'm going to crack skulls.
VC Arcade better include The Simpsons Arcade Game very quickly, too.

The ESRB recently rated MvC3. That means Capcom has the license again. That means it's possible for MvC to be released on the Wii. Rejoice at the possibility. Me, I'm looking forword to SHMUPS, old SEGA arcade games and maybe the Nintendo VS line. Gasp, I wonder if they'll put the oriingal Punch-Out games? Or there oldest games, untouched since their initial relase? Y'know, the kind of games only Parrothead has heard of.

No one here has mentioned the original arcade version of Donkey Kong yet? And you call yourselves Nintendo fans!

We already have the NES version. I love the pie factory as much as anybody else, but is it really that much of an improvement over the original?
