Slight spoilers ahead!
I'm surprised people haven't started discussing this game yet! I just wanted to get the ball rolling after reading a few previews recently.
So when I heard about the game dynamic of Mario and Luigi being in Bowser's stomach for most of the game, I was all like "No way! That would kinda suck!", but then I've been reading about some of the inner body - outer body puzzles, and its kinda winning me over;
So basically, Bowser gets to explore the world on the top screen, whilst Mario and Luigi get to explore Bowser's innards on the bottom screen. The fun really begins when one screen effects another! M&L can't get somewhere in Bowser's stomach because of a weird bone? Get Bowser to drink lots of water to make the bone float upwards and clear the path! Bowser can't be bothered to fight an enemy? Swallow it whole and get the plumbers to do it! There's a genius section involving Bowser entering a vegetable-plucking-and-eating contest, where the plumbers have to beef up arm muscles by massaging them with a green shell bounced between them, then when the veg is plucked M&L have to race to the stomach to break the incoming food into smaller pieces before the stomach gets too full!
Also, a big factor for me is actually being able to play as Bowser with all kinds of RPG attacks involving firey breath and flinging your koopa minions at enemies! Cool!

In Bowser's brain you fight his "memories" of Mario and Luigi too

You guys don't mind if I bump this thread, do you? I'd rather recycle that start a new one.
I'm surprised you guys aren't discussing it yet; this is an amazing game. Right now i'm around halfway through, and so far it hasn't dissapointed me at all. Fawful's isn't half bad at being the villain either.
Anyone buy this/going to buy this?

I'm about five hours in so far and I love it. You could pretty much get rid of the two plumbers and this would be a straight up Bowser game. Personally I think that's awesome, because Bowser has been long overdue a starring role like this and AlphaDream are the perfect people for it, because their writing for Bowser is absolutely brilliant.
Personally, I've come to the belief that AlphaDream gets the Mario universe better than any other developer and that includes Nintendo EAD.

I'd get it, but I really haven't touched my DS in awhile, and I can't be bothered to play it anytime soon.

I finished the game today! It was great and it had its funny moments. Bowser's reaction upon discovering that the Mario Bros. were in his body was funny and I thought it fitted his character very well. Fawful says "I have chortles!" throughout the whole game that I think AlphaDream was trying too hard with Fawful's Engrish, oh well. I liked how this game borrowed some ideas from the Smash games when it came to Bowser. That was really cool. Like how Partners in Time provided a possible explanation why we have adult Mario and Baby Mario together at the same time in spin-off games, this game provided a possible explanation why Bowser can be both normal-sized and "too big to be in Smash" in canon games.
Oh, the Blue Virus from Dr. Mario games makes a cameo appearance here, too. Maybe the Blue Virus is more popular than the other two.

Game is awesome. Love the sprites. And for once I'm actually choosing to play the game in Spanish instead of English (Latin American Spanish fuck year). Will all of NoA's game's next gen be trilingual? One can only hope so.
Though it's kinda odd that Toadsworth is apparently now officially known in Mexico as "Kinopio".

Oh snap! I can't believe I forgot this one cameo! There is an enemy that seems to be based on the Goomba's Shoe from Super Mario Bros. 3. The scene involving the enemy was really cool, funny, and nostalgic.
Now I really hope AlphaDream makes Mario & Luigi RPG 4 within the next five years. I also hope Peach and Toad would be playable in the sequel. That would be interesting.

Peach and Toad? Bah. Personally I've been waiting for Wario & Waluigi since the original.

Peach and Toad? Bah. Personally I've been waiting for Wario & Waluigi since the original. Yes, yes, YES. It's the obvious way to go. Why haven't they gone there?
