I will definitely get the game, but games are often released a bit later in some region called Europe. Game is awesome. Love the sprites. And for once I'm actually choosing to play the game in Spanish instead of English (Latin American Spanish fuck year). Will all of NoA's game's next gen be trilingual? One can only hope so. Though it's kinda odd that Toadsworth is apparently now officially known in Mexico as "Kinopio". So they have finally adapted NoE's Spanish names for Latin America? I guess that means many name changes for this region. Previously they used the American ones, right?

Peach and Toad? Bah. Personally I've been waiting for Wario & Waluigi since the original. Yes, yes, YES. It's the obvious way to go. Why haven't they gone there? I've been saying this since Partners in Time came out. Even if they don't have all four Bros. playable at the same time (which I think would lead to AWESOME Bros. Attacks and abilities), they could give you the option to play through the game as the Mario Bros. or the Wario Bros. or something like that.

I thought the Wario Bros. would be interesting, too. I can see Wario working very well in this kind of game. He could use his Wario Land transformations like Vampire Wario, Zombie Wario, and Spring Wario as battle actions. He could also use his charged tackle and lift large and heavy objects as field actions. But I have a harder time envisioning how Waluigi would work in this kind of game. He has nothing to draw from except sports and his rivalry with Luigi. I think that if Wario and Waluigi are playable in this kind of game with Mario and Luigi, the story would probably involve the following:
- rivalry between Mario Bros. and Wario Bros. - a treasure hunt competition - a legendary sports-related gold star cup - a sports-themed villain
Personally, I would love to see Peach and Toad playable in this kind of game, too. Peach and Toad could team up and throw a bunch of bombs at enemies (a reference to Peach's Psych Bomb and Wario's Woods) and also throw a bunch of vegetables at enemies (a reference to Super Mario Bros. 2) as their version of the Bros. Attacks. As for field actions, Peach could jump and float across gaps like Mario and Luigi do with the Spin Jump. Toad could walk up on walls to reach inaccessible places like in Wario's Woods. Together, they could charge and jump really high in a similar matter to Mario and Luigi's High Jump. Toad could use Golden Mushrooms so he could run really fast while pushing Peach in front of him and she's using her parasol like a battering ram in a similar matter to Mario's using Firebrand on Luigi in the field. Peach could hold Toad in front of her and use him as a shield in a similar matter to Luigi's using Thunderhand on Mario in the field. The story would probably involve the following:
- the return of Wart or a completely new villain - a return trip through Subcon or a completely new land - Toad being the Luigi to Peach's Mario - Mario Bros. and Peach & Toad taking turns rescuing each other before finally reunited at the end to fight the final boss
So, for Mario & Luigi RPG 4, I hope Peach and Toad are playable but I would be okay with Wario and Waluigi, too.

The Wario bros. could use bombs- they've used them in Mario Kart Double Dash as their special item and Wario has been linked to them since at least Wario Blast.
In addition, Wario could have the Ultra Hand from Power Tennis or perhaps a move or two based on Wario Ware.
I'm fine with Waluigi having sports moves too.

I remember that, at least in one of the Mario Parties, Waluigi had an affinity for Piranha Plants: that might be useful, too.

Yeah, so it looks like Wario and Waluigi might work well in this kind of game.
Anyone else played and/or finished Bowser's Inside Story yet?

I think all the stuff you guys mentioned would be good for Bros. Move attacks for the Wario brothers, but I think you're overthinking things. Mario & Luigi derives its brilliance from giving you two simple attack options of Jump and Mallet, or in Bowser's case, flame and punch. A problem though is that Wario and Waluigi are so different, so you have a harder time giving them similar enough moves that you need when messing with enemies. Even so...
Wario could easily alternate from a butt stomp move (instead of a double jump, you have to time when he falls) and a shoulder charge attack where you tap A (or whatever button) multiple times during the run. Waluigi's jump attack could be an amusing cannonball move that works the same as Wario's. Instead of a shoulder charge, he'd go up to the enemy and stomp them multiple times (like in Brawl) using the same mechanics as Wario's should charge.
So effectively the two have identical attacks, they just are animated differently. Their stats however would have a larger degree of difference than Mario and Luigi's do. Wario would definitely be the strong one with high HP, but Waluigi would be the fast one with more FP.

Dunno about the rest of you guys, but Waluigi can go eat a dick. XD I don't want any part of him in a real Mario game. He can stay in the kartsportsparty spinoffs.
Anyway, I put down Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations for M&L3, and lemme tell you, it's one hell of a trip. I love how Bowser looks in particular...and I'm with whoever said it on the first page, this could be a straight-up Bowser game and I'd love it just as much as I do now, if not more. Bowser's the only big-named Mario character to not have his own game (and by big-named Mario character I mean the two leftmost columns in Brawl - Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Yoshi and Wario. Again, Waluigi can go eat a dick).
And oh man, I'm absolutely loving Fawful. I kind of missed him from M&L: PiT, but now he's a main character in the game and it's so awesome.

Yeah, Waluigi is amazing. I've grown to love him more than Luigi. He just has so much awesome potential, it pisses me off that the rest of Nintendo hasn't realized this yet.

I love Waluigi. Any time I'm playing a game with him as a playable character, he's always my first choice. I don't know why. Maybe it's because the way he moves, or that in a kart racing game, he drives a fucking Backhoe.

Yeah. I started off thinking he was horrible, but I've definitely been endeared to Waluigi. I think it's because he's just so pathetic and doesn't realize it.

Maybe it is because Nintendo merely combined Luigi and Wario to create Waluigi and called him an "original" character solely for the spin-off games.
