Yeah, in the anime Falcon was more of this shady superhero type guy that only showed up in the Federation's time of need, and Goroh was the leader of a band of thieves/samurai.
Later on it's established that apparently Captain Falcon is a title passed down from one person to another and represents the very essence of light itself.
They really pushed the envelope with the show's backstory, didn't they?

IMPORTANT BUMP!Nintendo has stopped producing copies of the Metroid Prime Trilogy. If you want to buy it (without going second hand), it would be a good idea to do it now. " Unfortunately, Metroid Prime Trilogy is no longer being shipped. Having said that, you may be able to find what you seek through the secondhand video game market." Nintendo rep. (MPT is a collectors edition and was going to have a limited release). All the other NPC titles are still avalible though. Source.

I keep seeing MP:T everywhere but I'm not sure if I should buy it, being a current owner of the whole trilogy on GC (and Wii). Can anyone tell me if the new control is significant enough to warrant buying the trilogy?

Wow, MPT was a collectors item? Man, I'm glad I picked up a copy, but it would have been nice knowing that sooner.
Anyway, I think Metroid Prime is a series that benefits from the motion control more than not; after I beat Metroid Prime 3, I went and tried playing the first on the GameCube and the inability to look up and down without pressing another button (which also locked onto things, so if I wanted to lock on and keep looking around, I couldn't do it) was severely handicapping. I recommend MPT if you ever plan on going back to the first or second Metroid Prime, because motion sensing doesn't ALWAYS suck, habeeb it or not. XD

Well, I'm quite glad that I picked up a copy. Love the games- even if Metroid Prime is severely lacking when compared to the other two. (Echoes is my favorite Metroid game ever for that matter.)

I speak for the opposite side of the fence in regards to motion control - I found Prime and Echoes to be more straightforward, more precise and less aggravating than Corruption (which I have given up on, since I hate that damn boss I'm on and it's ruining the experience). However, I think that I speak for few. Most people prefer the new controls, but I don't like them one bit. XD

XD Normally I'm an advocate of traditional controls being better than motion sensing, but I just feel like the formula works better for the Prime series. It's not universal as there are a handful of FPSes for the Wii that utilize wagglesense and are absolutely terrible, so my guess is that Nintendo/Retro/whoever changed it up knew what they were doing.

You are more than entitled to your opinion, my good friend. It just didn't do anything for me beyond irritating me.

Can anyone tell me if the new control is significant enough to warrant buying the trilogy? Ain't just new control, here's wikipedia's info. Other updates include shorter load times, upgraded textures, altered visual effects, and 16:9 widescreen capabilities. However, the HUD is always displayed at the original aspect ratio, leading it to be stretched horizontally while in widescreen mode. Additionally, the award system from Prime 3 was incorporated into the first two games. Players earn tokens by accomplishing certain tasks, allowing them to unlock in-game items such as artwork, music, and other features. In response to complaints about Prime 2's high difficulty during some of the boss battles, the difficulty of those encounters were lowered. When I played through MP1 in MPT I only managed to die once on vetran difficulty compared to the many, many times in the original game. I speak for the opposite side of the fence in regards to motion control - I found Prime and Echoes to be more straightforward, more precise and less aggravating than Corruption (which I have given up on, since I hate that damn boss I'm on and it's ruining the experience). (I don't want to say it's name for spoiler purposes).

I'll double check that. I think so.
