Hear the might of British voice acting! It's not too bad actually. And it could be worse!

Indeed I like Shabunga's ridiculous voice.

So has anyone in Europe got the game yet? (released on Aug 19th).
Especially that bundle with the damn fine lookin red CC Pro?
Also don't spoilers! ANd if you don't remember to make the text white. (Like this.)

So has anyone in Europe got the game yet? (released on Aug 19th). Especially that bundle with the damn fine lookin red CC Pro? Also don't spoilers! ANd if you don't remember to make the text white. ( Like this.) I bought the game last Saturday, but didn't buy the bundle because I already had a classic controller and didn't feel like spending extra money, because the game was already £39.99, and I didn't want to pay an extra £10.00, but maybe I should have. It's great, and it's the sort of thing that you'll spend ages playing with a lot of optional quests, achievements and a journal for 'collectibles' and things. I only started playing it yesterday though. There's a lot of voice acting (I like how you can choose between English and Japanese) and Sector 9 is huge. Sometimes the voice acting can get a bit repetitive though in battles, I chuckled when I got killed by a bird, Shulk was like "I can't take it... sorry!", then it just continued pecking at the floor.

Okay, I get a email this morning saying my copy of XC is out of stock (and has been discontinued). And from the sounds of it no physical retail store even has copies either . . . And from what I'm hearing online, NoE seems to made XC a small "sell out" shipment. So anyone else here having trouble finding a copy?

The warnings of the game selling out were happening before it came out. I dashed down the shop and picked mine up on day 1 and they seemed to have quite a few in.
Who knows - It did well, so perhaps Nintendo will issue a reprint. I guess when you're not that confident about RPG sales, it's safer to do a small run than print way more than you will sell.

It appear the online store I got it from managed to acquire and send a copy for me on the 5th (and happly it's still a Aussie copy with the 1st print run bonus music CD).
Played for about two hours today (doing subquests and exploring) and decided to finally leave Colony 9. (starting home town for those wondering) There is a **load to explore just around and under C9. This game needs some sort of vehicle to get around in.
The only downside is that the game seems to be in widescreen (with black borders) on my normal TV and I can't seem to change it (checked options) and the on screen text seems kind of small because of it. Current solution is just to sit closer to the screen.
Also anyone using the Classic Controller? Is it possible to just move the camera around freely with the right stick? Or it like with the normal Wiimote/nunchuck set and you have to hold down a button (C) to move the camera?

I've been using the Classic Controller, and it's a lot easier to move the camera. Been a while since I played it though, so I've forgotten the controls ;D

Official North American TrailerLooks like it'll be sold exclusively at GameStop and (oddly) from Nintendo's official site. (Pre-orders from the latter start on the 19th.) That probably means the game will have a limited release, and that Nintendo is testing the waters. But excellent news! I will be snagging this for sure!

Good to finally see the game get some sort of NA release. I'm 93 hours in and still enjoying the game, though I'm surprised the game isn't being released sooner (like late Feb or early March).

Couple of interesting comments from Twitter. From analyst Michael Pachter: "congrats to the @operationrainfall folks for their relentless pursuit of Xenoblade" From Soraya Saga (wife of Xenoblade creator Tetsua Takahashi): "Thanks for bringing the rain. I believe fans' enthusiasm made this happen. Hope Xenoblade will be loved." Oh yeah, and I forgot...
