I did a bit of a download session this weekend, getting hold of some Gamecube and Wii soundtracks. Specifically: - Super Mario Sunshine - Star Fox Assault - F-Zero GX - Kirby Air Ride - The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - Super Mario Galaxy Some of them need a bit of pruning of recordings direct from the game, but I'd forgotten how much I love Assault's soundtrack, and listening to Galaxy's epic soundtrack made me want to play it again. Aside from the Hyrule Field theme, I've found Twilight Princess's soundtrack to be entirely forgettable, which is odd. I loved the game... but I just don't remember any of this music at all... Oh man, I wish I'd seen this sooner! I have the official Super Mario Galaxy, F-Zero GX and Super Mario Sunshine soundtracks. =( I would have gladly shared the love if I'd known. There are a handful of songs from Twilight Princess that are really great, but yeah, they're mostly forgettable. It's a shame. I have the same problem with the Paper Mario: TTYL soundtrack - I always felt that it was average aside from Doopliss' theme, which was farkin' awesome. They just didn't leave a lasting impression on me. Meanwhile, the SMG soundtrack is love~~~

I tried to upload Pikmin 2's OST in one decent zip, but Megaupload won't let me. So I'll link to ffshrine's annoying 5 part upload instead. Also Starfox Command's page at Galbadia Hotel seems to have the correct names for the tracks. Awesome, thanks 8bit ;D Mine's just a list of "Track 1, Track 2, etc." I can identify a handful of them, but the official soundtrack only had a handful of the orchestral music on it. I might see if anyone's uploaded the soundtrack to YouTube and titled them. That seems to be one of the best ways to at least get a rough idea of track naming. That's all right! I did revive an old thread due to a sudden surge of game music acquisition ;D I still need to get the Paper Mario series soundtracks. I'm slowly but surely building up the list into a massive pile of love. For a lot of games I'm burning them direct from the music rips, but the Gamecube and Wii ones I'm having to find rips other people have done, and pray they haven't just stuck a microphone against the screen. Yesterday I got hold of Metroid Prime 3 and Four Swords Adventures soundtracks, completing those respective series. I really should start sharing this stuff... but much like NinDB, I mainly do these geek-out things for my own benefit

I do have the fulll extract-from-disc music from Paper Marios 2 & 3, including the unused ones (IntSys loves unused music, you know). I think I should list whatever file I have. Rips / direct: - Fire Emblem music from SerenesForest.net ( serenesforest.net) - Several game music from Videogame Scrapbook ( www.videogamescrapbook.com) - Some Kirby music from KRR ( www.kirbysrainbowresort.net) - SSB Brawl from Zeldapower ( zeldapower.com/index.php/downloads/music_&_soundtracks/super_smash_bros._brawl_soundtrack.php) - MFGG ( www.mfgg.net/) - From Galbardia Hotel: --- Dr Mario 64 --- Golden Sun 1 & 2 --- Kirby 64 (incomplete) --- Kirby Air Ride (non-Japanese version) --- Luigi Mansion --- Mario Golf: Family/Toadstool Tour (only a few) --- Mario Kart Double Dash!! --- Mario Power Tennis (only a few) --- New SMB DS --- Nintendo Channel (early ver) --- Paper Mario TTYD --- SMB3 (2 music) --- SMW (4 music) --- Super Mario 64 (incomplete) --- Super Princess Peach (incomplete; tracks 0-33, 38, 39, 47, 55, 56, 58 only) --- Tetris GB --- Tetris DS (bad quality) --- Yoshi's Story (1 music) --- Zelda Collector's Edition (Game Select music only) - Lemmy's Land ( www.lemmykoopa.com) (One of the longest-living websites I've seen! 10 years of continuous update is very long for a personal website! One of my fav too!) --- Paper Mario 1 (only a few WAV files) - From other online searches: --- Mario & Luigi 3 --- Super Paper Mario --- Super Mario Galaxy - Kirby Ultra music given to me from our no-longer-active Boo Destroyer Remixes: - Various from ForeverKirby on YouTube: www.youtube.com/user/foreverkirby#grid/user/F205393C5CA39980- Various from LICHT AWN (see above YT user) - Various from Newgrounds (the animation portion of it is mostly sick; but the audio part is awesome!)

If it's on the NES, SNES, N64, GB, GBA or DS then I can burn the original game rip soundtrack to MP3 format. Sadly there's still no emulation method for Nintendo's arcade music, and finding GCN or Wii music is largely down to whether the few who rip soundtracks from ISOs as a hobby happen to own/like that game.
Many of the game rips do not have timing or track tags, and I've been working on fixing this before burning the soundtracks. This is particularly slow with the GB games as there's no user-friendly method of updating them (you have to create M3Us and do it all manually and by ear).
Thanks for those resources YL. I'm sure they'll come in handy ;D

I have the first Paper Mario's music (also the official soundtrack), and most of the Super Paper Mario stuff...but I'm pretty sure 8Bit hooked us up with that a few pages ago.

I re-burned the Star Fox Command soundtrack with the titles from Galbadia Hotel... and I found rough track names for the entire Star Fox Assault collection on YouTube (plus some proper names from the official soundtrack). Star Fox soundtrack is complete! Pikmin 2 was eventually downloaded (5 parts with limited downloads? That site's rubbish), so I'll add them in too. I also managed to download a few more from the sites 8bit and YL suggested. I'll have a Paper Mario collection once I've converted the N64 game GEEK OUT!!

You know.... you can download disc images for GC and Wii. And they CAN be emulated - usually pretty well too. You then just need some universal audio ripper that records audio going on in your computer.
My Galbardia Hotel downloads are motsly incomplete, but if any of you ever need anything from me, use Windows Live to contact me or tell me right here. My very old personal webpage space still has some space left for one or two extra audio file.
Personally, I would also edit loopable music for use in Flash.

I'm aware it can be done, but will no doubt require a weekend of me playing about with new programs. I might have to practice on games that I can't seem to find anywhere else. Also, even my reasonably large external hard drive is running out of space on it... although I do believe I have already downloaded the plugin that will allow me to play ripped GCN/Wii raw sound files.

Does anybody know where I can find track names for Fire Emblem Gaiden? I can't find any information on the game's soundtrack anywhere! If anybody is going to have it, I presume it'll be somebody here

Actually, I think FE2 music isn't well-documented in the first place... serenesforest.net/music/musicTB1.htmlSerenesForest.net lists them under generic names. Perhaps this is how they appear in the OST in the first place.

Actually, that's ideal. The first few games didn't have fancy track names from what I can tell (and FE1 has only acquired them from later remakes). Cheers YL! ;D
EDIT Actually, this also has the Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn soundtracks, which I've been having trouble tracking down. Suh-weeeet!
By the way... I found a track listing for Nintendo's Famicom adventure games (all of 'em!) and have burned the soundtracks accordingly. Unfortunately the NSF file for Time Twist is corrupted, so I've burned half of the MP3s from there and half downloaded them from elsewhere.

Ah, sweet. I have all the other Mario RPGs now (I produced a half-decent playlist for Paper Mario, as most of the ones online are just alphabetical) so this'll do nicely! Unfortunately, the Super Paper Mario soundtrack floating around is a duff recording rather than a rip. Hmm... what's the best way to share these soundtracks with you guys? I'm about halfway through timing and tagging the For The Frog The Bell Tolls soundtrack at the moment (as well as a playthrough of the game). It's actually pretty good.

I have SPM rips.
Now wait until I can have home access to internet again (have to use public computers since half a week ago) and.... Well, how to share?
