Nenson, those pictures are so tiny and blurry the only thing I can make out which isn't already in a screen on the site is that Luigi head billboard in the last one.

The ones he posted before are full-sized emulation screens, and they're fine.
Nenson, did you resize them and upload them to Flickr or something? Or did you just post the thumbnails?

Actually, if you click on the pictures he posted, you get the bigger image.
Nenson, you don't have to do that. The pictures were small enough anyway, you're making everything too hard on yourself.

Another one from DKC, though this one's a bit stretched. Could the level Manic Mincer be a reference to the ZX Spectrum game Manic Miner? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manic_Miner

That one's pushing it. They probably just called it "Manic Mincer s" because they love alliteration and words that are synonyms for "chaotic".

I dunno actually... Rare is a British and a former ZX Spectrum developer. I would be very surprised if Manic Mincers wasn't a Manic Miner reference. Manic Miner was a massive game in the UK.
You know? I might well add that one in! I think that's highly likely as well as highly amusing.

Whoa whoa whoa...I can't be the first to notice this...
In Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, there is a level (Level 3-2 Jungle Rhythm...) where after you get 5 stars, a question cloud will appear. If you hit this cloud an arrow will show you an invisible pipe. Once you enter the pipe, there will be one of those happy face boxes. When you hit the box, a message will appear that says something along the lines of "We, the Mario team poured our hearts and souls into creating this game for your entertainment. It is full of secrets. Enjoy?".
I'll get a screenshot later.

Hehe, I remember that. It's kinda cool, just like the message that appears when you find Yoshi in Super Mario 64.

'Kay, so the stars have nothing to do with this secret. After you get the first cloud of stars, there is a small crater in the ground. After you touch it, a secret cloud will appear. Hit it with an egg to have a switch appear. Hit the switch to start a timer to an invisible pipe.

Haha, I remember that! Wow, expanding what counts as a cameo has brought a lot of interesting things out of the woodwork
