Tetris Attack incorporated a couple of tunes from Yoshi's Island, but most of the music is identical.
We already known that Nintendo Puzzle Collection features an exerpt from Yoshi's Island theme in the game credits (courtesy of YoungLink), but Panel de Pon music in later versions of Panel de Pon is not a cameo.

OK, as you know I have been playing through the Shin Onigashima and Yuuyuuki games lately and I just noticed something odd. Heisei: Shin Onigashima's Story 2 is about Matsunosuke the monkey. He learns a dance that he uses to open a door in the valley temple and later to amuse some skeletons. What struck me as odd was that this dance - indeed the entire sequence - was very reminiscent of the dancing monkey from Mother 3. Now, I know I shoot these things down usually, but I just wanted to put it out there. I will try and get some video, although I will need someone else to get the video of the dancing monkey in Mother 3, as I'm nowhere near that far yet

Eh, they're not as similar as I thought they were. Shame that - it would have been a mighty obscure cameo

The Prof. guy who appears in Wario Land 4 also appears in the minigame Wario Hop. Want a screenshot?

idk if this has been said yet, but on the ereader title screen if you press select you are given the credit roll. I believe the music in the background is a remix of the village in Legend of Zelda Links Awakening

It's not especially well known, but I'm sure a lot of us already knew about it. Doesn't make it any less awesome, just makes there less to talk about.

Whoa, seriously? No one else thinks this is cool? It's cool, but whenever I've got nothing to say other than 'That's cool' I usually don't bother posting so I don't come off as a moron with a short attention span.

At the moment I'm wavering on it potentially being a hoax. However, if those AR codes actually work then it's worth a mention.
I doubt it was included for "hackers to find" as the page suggests though. Just an unused cameo, which is a shame.

Not exactly a cameo, but an interesting bit nevertheless. We all know that Mario Vs. Donkey Kong was the finished version of a beta called Donkey Kong Plus. There is a song from the OST called, you guessed it, Donkey Kong Plus.
