You know full well we're getting every damn hedgehog, echidna, porcupine, and Chemical X infused pincushion they put in those first GCN games and since created as playable. The fact that they mentioned Froggy, Big the Daft's little pet, just guarantees it. I mean, who's more important, Blaze or Fat? My point, therefore, stands. We'll see Knuckles and Tails before the game is up.
EDIT: I really need to start educating myself on stuff before talking. Alright, two names will remain, flat-out. Three's possible but pushing it.
Sonic is guaranteed. Shadow will also appear. They'll also add Tails and Knuckles. Amy's possible, but her fanbase (the term fanbase being used to add illusion of size OH SNAP) shouldn't get excited until there's some confirmation.
I find the phrase "Sonic's new friend" a touch alarming, as that might actually mean another one-off like...what's his name? The little gnome in Unleashed?

Shrike, you're as gullible as hell. The list is a red herring. I'm certain of it. Apparently they've caved in and started making fun of themselves this time.

Who says I'm falling for it? I continue to believe that "we're getting every damn hedgehog, echidna, porcupine, and Chemical X infused pincushion they put in those first GCN games and since created as playable" if Project Needlemouse turns up at all.

Just thought of bringing this up again. I meant for laughs- (-lwl-) It's so true, too! I'm one of the lucky few to have fallen out between the red and blue circles, because I seriously haven't been fooled by Sonic since Sonic Heroes. ;D

Sonic Heroes was tolerable compared to the titles that came after it.

I honestly haven't been surprised by a Sonic game's friend count yet with the solitary exception of Unleashed. Thing is, it's not his friends who ruin the games. It's the world they inhabit. Until something rocks Mobius to its core that makes the characters gather a more believable or more comical personality while screwing with the gameplay even a little bit (enough to be noticed but not enough to be inappropriate to the blue bastard's theme,) it's never going to get out of this rut, a rut that by this point looks more like a canyon.

Fixed. Mobius is only in the comics and cartoons. Sonic games very much take place on an "Earth."

In context, Mobius was appropriate as a distinction. Let's not argue this, however, because it'd be arguing a minor detail of a minor detail of the main point.

Remind me to kill you later. Hurray for 1UPS... Must take handful of them. Oh, and Meteos too. It's so true, too! I'm one of the lucky few to have fallen out between the red and blue circles, because I seriously haven't been fooled by Sonic since Sonic Heroes. ;D And what a TERRIBLE game! Thankfully I only spent 20 bucks Sometimes I call Sonic Heroes as "the pseudo-black sheep of Sonic series". Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 is then another story. (-''-) But if this cycle actually BECOMES TRUE (in eyes of fans), Sonic is declared fat and slow among fans. (-lwl-) Wonder where I'll be able to get Sonic Rush Adventure-

Eh there probably an easy way to make everyone happy. As we all know the Sonic fanbase is divided. There's the classic Sonic fans and the new Sonic fans.
As far as I know all classic Sonic fans want is a good speedy platformer without new characters and gimmicks.
New Sonic fans want to see their favorite characters do cool stuff. They aren't picky, obviously.
Well there's a simple solution: DLC
Make a classic based Sonic game that only stars Sonic (maybe Tails and Knuckles too) Classic Sonic fans are happy.
Have there a DLC where you can play though the game as different characters such as Shadow, Rouge, Blinky, Uncle Fester, etc. New Sonic fans are happy.
There that wasn't too hard.
