Sorry, Koopaul. Just thought I'd set the record straight.

I have a feeling telling me that this will be Sega's answer to Nintendo's NSMB and NSMB Wii games.

Unfortunately, I'm not in the same gear. Sega's done raised hopes and dashed 'em down for ages now and in spite of promising signs this will likely be no different. All honesty, I don't care if they DO put in every spiky freak they've made since the series opened up as long as the game is good. I can overlook even Big, who fails hard enough for many characters, if the game itself is worth half a poop. The ridiculous cast size isn't something that grates on my nerves unless the game itself sucks horse pee.
And yes, I intentionally made this post as childishly unprofane as possible.

I know that I shouldn't get excited about this, but I am anyway. I haven't managed to get a hold of them, but I hear that the Sonic Advance games were pretty good, so I'm hoping they use some of the people that worked on those on Needlemouse. Anyway, the results have been revealed. The only playable character in Needlemouse will be Sonic. They also threw in some concept art. It looks like the crabs from Green Hill Zone. I'm no Japanese expert, so I'm not so sure about the writing. From what I can tell, the characters are katakana and would be represented in Roman letters as kanipasoti or kanipasochi. The best translation I could come up with for that is Crab Computer. EDIT: Sorry, that was kanipasoti, not kanopasoti.

I think this countdown thing was kinda ridiculous. Like Sega would ever exclude Sonic.

I recently found that it's actually a Shellcracker.

I think this countdown thing was kinda ridiculous. Like Sega would ever exclude Sonic. I think the intent was to show that they were stripping the character pool down to the core. I mean, it's pretty obvious Sonic's coming along, Sega was just showing us who else was (which seems to be none that were on the list and their teams, if applicable.) I still think that Tails and Knuckles have a shot, since Sonic seems to like hanging out with those two more than he likes chili dogs.

Shrike has a valid point. Was Shadow on that list of crossed-off characters, too? I mean, I'm all for a game where you play as Sonic, Tails and Knuckles so long as you're not forced to play as any one character at any point in time *cough*Sonic 3 & Knuckles*cough*, but Shadow being thrown into that mix would be...mehhhh.

Well, I guess if he's crossed off, then that's that...oh, who the hell am I kidding? I bet the list isn't going to stop Sega, and hell I doubt they made it in the first place. XD

Something is gnawing at me. This list was fairly incomplete. I mean, no Tails or Knux? Something tells me that the list won't matter, we might still be bogged down by characters even if they weren't there.

So, this is supposed to be officially unveiled on Gamespot tonight. Just so you know.
I might stay up. Maybe.

So, it's a downloadable game. That's actually better than releasing it in disc form. It's less risky.
The trailer was alright, but Sonic's running animation looks a bit off.
