One of my plans for the new NinDB was to start building on the copious amount of additional information available for each game or series. At present, many are just brief overviews.
One of my plans for the new NinDB was to expand that information, especially for the more obscure series where information in English (or even in native Japanese) is sorely lacking.
My mission to expand on the content in these pages requires two things. First of all, a couple of small template additions and tweaks (which have been completed and to be uploaded shortly), and second, in-depth information.
Now, obviously I haven't played every Nintendo game in-depth (despite my best efforts), and I will be reaching out for some help to populate these pages. And who is better placed than you guys!?
Let me give you a run down of what I intend to do:
Game Section
Overview
This will be the page as we know it now. It will be broken down into:
1. Overview - The developer, genre, formats and release dates. These will now be accompanied by boxart.
2. Screenshots - A selection of 5/6 screenshots plus a title screen.
3. Story - Or at least the story that builds up to the beginning of the game, where relevant.
4. Gameplay - An overview of the game's contents.
5. Development - Where interesting information on the development of the game is available, it'll go here.
(All pages must have at least an overview and gameplay section).
Navigation for the section will appear down the right-hand side. This will contain all the navigation for the entire series (where possible - Mario, DK, Kirby and Pokemon will need to be segmented).
Encyclopaedia
A page broken down into characters, enemies, locations, items, and whatever else seems relevant at the time. The descriptions will be short and accompanied by images, either sprites or official artwork.
Playthrough
A walkthrough for the game, which may be broken down into chapters if necessary. For now, I only intend to do this for a small handful of games (namely those that are highly unlikely to have been played by the reader).

While this may seem like a big task, the current information and navigation on NinDB will suffice for "overviews" of each game or series, and will be the baseline for information on the series.
In short, these sections will expand on current content as and when it's prepared. NinDB has never been a news site, and I hate it when people ask why I haven't added brand-new-game-x yet.
This will move the site closer to the information archive I always wanted it to be.
Oh, and one of the template tweaks will allow me to customise the colour scheme for key sections. I mainly did this because it would be a crime not to have a red Mother section or a gold Zelda section

How is it going so far? Well...
For The Frog The Bell Tolls - overview has been rewritten and the encyclopaedia has nearly been completed. I am ploughing through the game, grabbing screenshots everywhere for a walkthrough. I need some help with names.
X - This page had some detailed information on the missions, which I am expanding into a walkthrough. I have a few more missions to complete in the game for screenshots, however.
Mother Series
I have started writing up detailed encyclopaedia entries for each game. This section will also likely have a spoiler-heavy story page for those (like me) who don't get on with RPGs. The main problem is getting screenshots of Mother and Mother 3 that aren't translated.
