Here's an interesting blog about a guy called Adam L. that's trying to beat all the USA NES games ever made. He actually has a huge & popular FAQ on GameFAQs describing the endings to all the NES games he has finished ( www.gamefaqs.com/console/nes/file/916386/26831 ). He only has 9 USA NES games left and he is going to describe the painful process of beating them. He already has blog posts for 2 of the games, plus a few other posts describing his "mission". adamlnes.blogspot.com/Some of his posts feature lots of profanity, but that's understandable when the last boss of Bandit Kings of Ancient China (Koei) took him 6 hours to beat!!! Hope you have a good laugh with all the pain he goes through!

Man, that's pretty intense. I'm happy I beat the games I own! XD

I kinda wish he'd started the blog much earlier so we could see his pain through some of the better-known bad games. Still, his associated FAQ is interesting reading! Nice to see someone has struggled through to confirm where a game logically ends!

But.... YOU CAN'T BEAT NES GAMES. THEY'LL NEVER END. (Half of them.)
Or will they?
Seeing from that faq, they can. (-lvl-)b
And he's only 9 games away. 8-D

He tends to play them until the stage loops, and then considers that "beating the game". I must admit I was a little disappointed to discover that Devil World didn't actually have an ending. I was kinda hoping little Tamagon would eventually escape!

Yeah, his FAQ has saved me quite a few times from trying to "beat" an endless game.

I heard that Back to the Future Part II & III has a bug in it that makes it impossible to beat.

I don't know if there's a bug or not, but I beat the game just fine.

I don't know if there's a bug or not, but I beat the game just fine. It just depends. Once, I actually accidentally managed to render the last dungeon of Zelda: Link's Awakening unbeatable because I used the keys in the wrong places. It's true.

I don't think it's possible to trap yourself in Link's Awakening. You must have missed something.
Edit: Unless you used a cheat code or glitch, that is.

It actually is possible to get permanently stuck in Link's Awakening. But not in the last dungeon, in the fourth dungeon. It involves making a seemingly impossible jump on a platform with a locked door and using the key on said door.
They fixed that in Link's Awakening DX by removing the tile needed to make the jump.

It involves making a seemingly impossible jump on a platform with a locked door and using the key on said door. I'm curious about that. I remember doing hard jumps in that dungeon, but it was over certain cross-shaped pit near the beginning of it (L-shaped jumps! I always considered myself a champion for accomplishing that).

Well, here's the room where you can pull it off: It doesn't look like it, but you can actually jump from the strip of shallow water at the bottom over the deep water to the platform with the switch at the top. If you go in that door and use a key on the locked block in the next room (yeah, not a door, sorry), you'll have essentially locked yourself out of getting the flippers in the dungeon. For comparison's sakes, here's the same room in Link's Awakening DX: As you can see, they took away the tile of shallow water necessary to make the jump, so you won't be able to make it over to the platform.
