I expect the whole reason they're remaking the original Marth games is because of the western market. Although I must admit I am happy to hear they may be including missions from BS Fire Emblem: Akaneia Military History. If you didn't know about it already, you'd think the Satellaview didn't exist

No maybe, as soon as you beat the prologue they're all available to play. Here are some shots from part 2 of New Record of Akaneia War. Minerva meets Hardin for the first time. Commander Luben forces Bishop Frost to fight Minerva. The map itself. Also there are at least six more maps that can be downloaded at a later time.

Explain again how they appear. Is it a separate storyline option, much as Dark Dragon and Mystery of the Emblem were separate storylines in the original MOTE?

All characters in this game (Spoiler)I'm still hoping for the North American release date. I can buy either version, but I don't know if the whole FE10 thing will happen again. The Japanese version of FE10 is far worse than the rest, lacking everything that were added in later. And that might happen with FE12 as well. If there's no localization difference, I'll just buy the Japanese one just because it's released earlier.

After you beat chapter Prologue 8, go under Extras, and there's a new tab called New Record of Akaneia War. From there you can play any of the maps in any order.

I think it's starting to worry me now.... There's still no sign of an overseas version now.
Just a short while later and I may just give up and go directly for the Japanese version.

Aw man, I totally forgot about this game. Seems like it's been released in Japan for awhile now too...
Hope they still bother bringing it over at some point. It's one of the few DS games I'd buy day one.

I'll add it to the list of disappointments that is Nintendo of America's Wii/DS decision-making. I don't know how well the last game did, but I know I saw it on clearance in several stores (it's how I got it).

I don't think anything unusual is happening here. No games for 2011 has been announced, at the timing suggests that game would come out between February and May. I have no worries about the fate of this game whatsoever.
I don't think the 3DS will kill it either, Sacred Stones came out half a year after the DS was released and it performed well for a Fire Emblem game.

Still, I wish they would hurry up and announce a release date, as waiting is pure torture!
