I wonder if Mario will be able to recruit enemies.

I think the Chain Chomp is Mario's partner.... but I like Man-Frog's comparison with Zelda Link's Awakening. Hope to see more partners from different species besides Goomba/Koopa/Bob-omb like a Toad and a Shy Guy or even a Luma and a Pianta. Okay, I am getting ahead of myself and setting myself up for disappointment... okay, have low expectations and hope for the best like I did for E3 2010.

Do notice how most characters like the Cheep Cheep and Wiggler give off that "neutral" aura.
Just because they've been enemies in most games in a lot of levels before doesn't mean that they totally trust Bowser.

Oh, uh.... heh heh.. right! ;D Thanks for clearing up the confusion. Boo Destroyer, I noticed that as well... Wigglers seem to be neutral way back in SM64. The Wiggler was never given the Power Star by Bowser because he said he found it. Even Bowser was surprised to find out that he missed out on many Power Stars at the end. OMG.... how cool would it be if Mario had a Wiggler partner in Paper Mario 3DS?!

I hope they cover the species not yet covered- Chomps, Wigglers, Shy Guys, maybe a Thwomp derivative, a Blooper... You guys get it.

I can't wait for the new DK game! Then again I've been waiting since DK64 for a new game to come out (that isn't bongo-related or a port of an earlier game).

I hope they cover the species not yet covered- Chomps, Wigglers, Shy Guys, maybe a Thwomp derivative, a Blooper... You guys get it. I hope so, too. I would love to see a Toad partner... maybe this Toad partner could pick up enemies and throw them at other enemies a la SMB2/NSMBWii during battle and has a field ability to run faster while carrying Mario overhead in a similar manner to Mario riding the Yoshi partner in PMTTYD. Also, a Shy Guy partner with the field ability to use stilts to walk over spikes and poisonous waters and use slingshots and spears during battle would be amazing. I can't wait to play Paper Mario 3DS. I am sure it will turn out to be just as awesome as the first two Paper Mario games (still plan to download the first game on the VC soon). Super Paper Mario was nice but parts of the game was boring (see world 2-3).

I'd actually like to see THE Toad come into play. That'd be nice.
Still more anticipating Zelda and DK, though, as the 3DS is still a confusing concept to me. Although I maintain a strong dislike for DK's voice (it's still that dopey cartoon ook rather than the Rareware chatter) and a bit of skepticism for the cel-shading in Zelda (having never really gotten used to it, and really finding it odd with an adult Link,) neither is particularly effective in making me avoid the game.

You win the internet today, Arcadenik. I would love to see a Shy Guy partner based on your idea.

I would love to see the Toad return as a playable character. I wish Nintendo would let Toad grow back his backbone. He used to be a scared-but-brave character in SMB2 and Wario's Woods in the same way Luigi is right now but now he is always scared. I wish Toad would get his own game with the Toad Brigade. I actually love the new direction Zelda Skyward Sword is taking with its visuals. It looks like they took the character models from Twilight Princess and covered them with the cel-shaded graphics from The Wind Waker. The 3DS itself does not interest me but I might have to get it if I want Paper Mario 3DS and Kid Icarus: Uprising. I think I will wait until the price drops before I buy myself a 3DS a year or two after launch. I might just buy the 3DS games and hold on to them until I get a 3DS (fun fact: I was going to do that with Wii when I pre-ordered Brawl even though I didn't have the Wii at the time but of course my boyfriend surprised me by getting me a Wii for Christmas).

Ahh, I forgot to comment on this show, so here goes: Kirby's Epic YarnToo bad he doesn't swallow to get an enemy's ability, but at least this is better than nothing. As TV Eye said, a new art-style thing every now and then is what the Kirby series has seen before, so this isn't that surprising. Zelda Skyward SwordI was too late for this one, but seeing the screenshots, that really does seem like a new turn for the series! Metroid: Other MStill not interested in this one for some reason, but that did look splendorific. DKC ReturnsI knew it was gonna make a comeback in some manner! And by Retro Studios? Outstanding... Eh, no Kremlings this time? Just these Tiki people? Ah, still... Kid Icarus Uprising"Sorry to keep you waiting!" Oh, you better be, Pit. You better be... ;D And headed up by Sakurai? Interesting... 3DS...Well...Just look at that system go, really. Looks like a lot of good games coming out for it too! (Rehashed Star Fox 64, hmmph...) But all in all, I say to them, bravo!
