I still think the ultimate idea would be to recruit any enemy you fight as your partner.
It'd be like Dragon Warrior Monsters.

I have had ideas like that, Koopaul. The idea first came to me after I played Mario Party 3, you remember how you had your standard Mario species as units in the Duel Mode? Yeah, I thought that was pretty neat and I am kinda surprised Nintendo haven't come up with a Super Mario Tactics game by now. That would be interesting. Heh, that reminds me of the outrage fans had over Romance of the Three Kingdoms being the only VC game released for one week and there were some fans who sarcastically said that if it was called Romance of the Mushroom Kingdom, no one would be complaining.

Hey, Pikmin 3 may either be a misquote or something they didn't want to bring so it wouldn't be overshadowed.
Miyamoto was kinda vauge about that during the roundtable.

Yeah, I am not sure if I want to get another version of OOT again. I mean, I already own the N64 original game and both the OOT/MQ disc (I got it by pre-ordering TWW) and Collector's Ediiton GCN discs (I got it free by registering Mario Kart Double Dash and the first Mario & Luigi game). That's pretty much why I decided not to get the VC game. Still, the visuals look amazing.

So it is basically Pac-Man Fever 2? I would have liked to see Pac-Man in spherical 3D mazes like in Super Mario Galaxy. That would be a lot more interesting.

^ Actually, I believe that's only one of three Pac-man games that were announced (or trademarked, at least). The others were Pac-man Chain and Pac-man Generation.

Ugh. I was hoping for something more like a collection of multiplayer Pac-Man games. Pac-Man Vs. and Pac-Man Battle Royale for instance. This doesn't look all that great.

Just working my way through the stuff shown now.
Zelda -> looks sexy. Link's face needs to be fixed (its so lifeless, especially when compared to Wind Waker Link) but the visuals look stunning. Hope its not too samey, though. DK -> hells yes. Also seems rehashy, I guess, but since its been so long I'm psyched. 4 player co-op please, Nintendo / Retro. Oh a bring in Dixie. Kirby -> Also visually stunning. Metroid -> Seems cool. Trailer seemed to be just lots of running around, though. Still, I have confidence in this. Epic Mickey -> Looks like a lot of fun. I'm not a huge Disney fan, however its really the create / destroy the world paint mechanic that I'm rather interested in.
3DS seems really cool. Particularly looking forward to the Mario games, being the Mario whore I am, but I think we are going to get a really good little unit here. DOA, Street Fighter and MGS are all unexpected, but really cool.
Very good stuff, Nintendo. I'm impressed.

Yes, please, Dixie. And maybe Funky Kong, but I'd understand if he's gonna be workin' the planes again.

DK is confirmed to have 2 player co-op as Donkey Kong and Diddy (compared to the original DKC games which didn't have any). Kirby also has 2 player co-op.

So was anything interesting shown at Sony's conference? Went to a party after Nintendo's last night so I wouldn't know
Anyway I expected this E3 to be good, like 2 new titles revealed, but it turned out to be hella awesome instead. Some of those titles are probably gonna be pushed back a few times, but still lots to look forward to.
Aside from the buttload of first party titles (and Epic Mickey), I'm kinda excited about MGS 3D. Always wanted to play 1 and 3 so I should get off my ass already and snatch the original PSX MGS from my brother's room so I can give 3 a go next year.... in THREE-DEE!
Also I wonder if Nintendo's going to expand the VC library with Virtualboy titles for 3DS? Secretly hoping they're releasing Dragon Hopper for 3DS, I'd buy that.

I think he means "Let it be that it's not just 2-player co-op, but rather 4."
