NinDB: Shin Onigashima Series
The first game in Nintendo's series of text adventures on the Famicom Disk System. Guide Donbe and Hikari, two mysterious children, on an adventure against a terrifying dragon that devours souls.

System: Super Famicom (Satellaview)
- Little info is known so far, aside from being a poster-child for the Satellaview and being the game "Heisei Era" was based on. More information will be hugely welcome!
Heisei Era: Shin Onigashima
System: Super Famicom (NP)
- A completely different game to the first, following your animal friends through the game rather than Donbe & Hikari. This has been written up.
- You can play the first game with Disk System graphics but updated music.
- Game guide required. Will share a character guide with the first game.
Cameos
Kirby's Dream Land 3
At the end of Sand Canyon stage 4 you will find Hikari, the female protagonist of Famicom Disk System game New Onigashima.
To earn her Heart Star you must take the following route in the scrolling underwater section earlier in the level: Bottom, Top, Middle. Enter the door and defeat the Broom miniboss to find Donbe, the hero of New Onigashima.
This time when you reach Hikari, Donbe will have joined her and you are rewarded with a Heart Star.
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Donbe & Hikari are available as a collectable trophy.
Great Concert! Band Brothers ~Request Selection~
The Shin Onigashima track "On the Path to the Mountain" was included on this bonus cart containing fan-picked music.
- Does anyone have recordings of music from the Request Selection? No DS emulators seem to run it.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Donbe is a collectable sticker.
A remix of various music tracks (track names to come) from Shin Onigashima is available on the Summit stage.
Captain Rainbow
Hikari is the first character you meet on Mimin Island, and also the last person you save. (more details coming)

When you use an instrument in a song, it is added to your Instrument Dictionary. When you view an instrument in this dictionary, a clip of a song from another Nintendo game will play:
- Shakuhachi plays the "Title" theme from Shin Onigashima
