Well, if you want to talk historically, TEi, Plas' sense of humor was derived from him being the straight man in a crazy world. Read Jack Cole's original Plas comics for reference. Plas rarely joked, and played the straight man to Woozy's... non-straight man? You get what I'm saying In the 80s, DC turned him into a general humor character, with each writer preferring a different type of humor. The 80s mini, for instance, derived its humor from satire- Woozy was a mental patient kicked out "by something called Reagonomics." As you can tell, I'm not in favor of limiting a character to a single interpretation.

Young Justice episode 14. Why am I posting this?
Because it was really fucking awesome that's why.
So many heroes! So many villians! Action, action, action!
(It won't make sense to those that haven't watched the previous episodes though).
Also new MLP:FiM episode should be appearing tommorow. Supposedly with a brand new opening sequence.

New MLP episode. "Halloween" themed and has the reapperance of Princess Luna.
Luna's voice is awesome by the way.
And with that, all Luna fanfiction/fanon was now rendered moot.

Am I the only one who thinks the ponies in MLP:FIM look more like cats with pony features? Also I still don't see what the big deal is about this show.

Am I the only one who thinks the ponies in MLP:FIM look more like cats with pony features? Also I still don't see what the big deal is about this show. First off, I'm sorry, I didn't reply to this sooner (also saw your post in the "off topic internet thread). Why is this show so popular/such a big deal? Admittly, that is a difficult question which doesn't seem to have a definite answer. So here goes . . . Maybe it's because the MLP franchise, has kind of been associtated with low quality merchindise driven media in the past, has been turned into something much better and original with good writing and overall higher quality than previous MLP adaptions? While also still being entertaining to kids as well as adults. Is it from the large supportive and positive fanbase that started making art, editing image stills, remixing music/songs, making the ponyfied movie trailer mash ups? Yet, you don't other hit shows like Adventure Time or Phineas and Ferb, get this same amount of attention (yeah both are popular but not MLP popular) Is it because it's a show made in Flash, that's actually well animated (unlike others . . .), even though it has a shoestring budget? Is it the accessiblity of easily watching the show on Youtube? With Hasbro still not removing episodes/content. Is Lauren Faust's name on the product and the positive association of her presviously working on the PowerPuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, make people want to watch, even though, most fans/people would have never heard of her before this show was made? (The first "big name" working on this show I heard about was Rob Renzetti, the creator of My Life as a Teenage Robot, who has also worked on MANY other animated series eg Dexter's Lab, etc.) Is it because it stars 6 likeable female mane main characters, with different distinsct personalities and depth who are all likeable in their own way and it somehow finds a niche that no other current animated series fills (or has filled?) Excluding previous MLP adaptions, what was the last show to do this? EDIT: In terms of the cat likeness, I'm not seeing it. No cat nose, whiskers, paws, tail, the ears just seem too "rounded" and not straight enough to be cat ears. When I saw a drawing guide, though that removed the mane/tail, the overall head/body shape remined me of deer without the horns.

Green Lantern TAS has a 2-part (episode) primere, I thought it was good. Saw one minor animation problem at the very start of part 3, but nothing else wrong from what I saw. The mostly texture less enivironments don't seem that bad, (when has a Bruce Timm show really had detailed surfaces?) Part 1 of 4. Here's a positive review from Chris Sims of Comic Alliance and another from io9.

Don't know if this been posted already but there is a sneak-peek at a scene from that upcoming video game-themed Disney movie, Wreck-It Ralph, and it has Bowser in it. With Bowser we see Robotnik, Zangief and who I think is Dr. Willy.
